In this country Christianity in all it's forms has participated and empowered our government from the beginning which was against what was in the constitution.

If we are to be correct with the constitution the government has to be "religiousless" in order to be respectful to all religions.

This is the problem with those who want to specifically exclude Christians from government. We all have philosophical beliefs which influence our actions, the key is to keep the power of government limited so that the beliefs of the majority do not provide a means to destroy the minority. If we specifically exclude Christians, then it will be Christians who are persecuted by the government.

It is much more tolerant and open to restrict the power of the Federal government, than for the government to specifically endorse or attack a religion.

No one is specifically targeting Christians, Christians feel it because they were eroneously the participataries in the government from incept.

All religion needs to be removed from the government so that the government will be showing no favor to one religion over others.

If you remove all religion from government then it should be legal to sell permits for the rich to kill the poor, since it is only silly beliefs in the sanctity of life that stand in the way of such laws.

I am done with talk on religion. Who cares. This doesn't help me with my personal knowledge.

What i want to know is Why do we NEED a central Bank.

Why do we NEED big government?

To have our government centralized?

Why do we need the Department of education?

Why do we need a fiat currency?

Is this a bit of insanity shining through here or what?????

In no way does it mean that or can it be related to your analogy in the least bit.

If you remove all religion from the government then our country will be as the forefathers meant it to be, respectful to all religions showing favor to none.

We don't have a Central bank nor do we have a problem with big government. So that is covered.

Centralized government is what the forefather meant to have by instituting a federal government to govern over all the state government and to intervene like they had to during the civil rights movement.

Yes, a standardized, organized education system is needed.

I don't know about the fiat currency so someone else will have to answer that one.

Okay covered.

Thou shalt not kill is a religious teaching. To ban all religion from government means this little rule can not be a law.

That is why saying things like religion should be banned from government is not a good idea.

All morality is based upon religious beliefs. That different people adhere to different beliefs does not change this fact.

If you do not use peoples moral beliefs to write laws, then why should it be illegal to kill people?

Not killing is not necessarily a religious law, it is a common sense law, no religion needed for that one.

Morality is not from religion, that is a myth religious would like every one to believe.

In theory the Federal Reserve exists to help smooth out the business cycle. In theory raising interest rates during boom times slows the rate of growth, and lowering interest rates in bad times, helps increase economic growth.

If the Federal Reserve had perfect information, and developed economic theory far enough, then it could use its control over the money supply to avoid depressions, while only having a mild negative effect during economic booms. This theory also requires that corruption is kept to a minimum, or does not exist.

Just as communism sounds great in theory, but doesn't work in practice, monetary economics look great on paper, but don't work so well in the real world.

It is common sense because it is a religious belief that you happen to agree with.

Just out of curiosity, where do you think morality comes from?

It is not a religious belief. You think that any people from old that did not have religion went around killing people????laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh Or better yet, those who had religion did not???laugh laugh laugh

Morality comes from compassion, empathy, understanding or intelligence, strength, etc... It would happen without a religion in the picture.

If we do not have a central bank then what do you call the Federal Reserve? The U.S. government doesn't make the dollar, the Federal Reserve does. They are responsible for deciding how dollars are put into circulation. When we need more money, we go to them and they loan the U.S. government dollars and charge us interest to do so.
Fiat money means that our money is not based on gold, silver or anything else. Before we switched from the gold system our dollar was backed by gold.

Very interesting. I wonder though, how would it remain a permanent system if every dollar printed had to be paid back with interest?

I know that our fractional reserve system helps....

You need to look up the Federal Reserve... If that's not a central bank than what is?

And why is it that our schools were number 1 in the world until we devoleped the department of education. We are in 12th or 13th the last i heard.

Also, why are we called the UNITED STATES if it was supposed to be a Federation?

Thank you for the info.

I meant that all banks are ran by the federal government, which is what I thought was meant by the question. Sorry.

How long have we been running the fiat system? If it has been for quite a while what is the issue with it?

I explained the central bank thing in my previous post.

Our educational system has outgrown the small system originally designed, it needs to be enlarged and better organized and better funded. Those are the reasons for the failures of the system, not the fact that it is public.

As for the Federation thing, if the founding fathers did not want an overseerer, they would never have designed one.

How did the Revolution happen?

It cost money. All wars do.
Who was the chief financier of the American Revolution?

Why are private schools the most successful?

You have no arguments from me that schools need money, and should be a priority. But as i said earlier private schools seem to be the best in the nation. Maybe we should take them up on their advice?

One reason - they don't have to let any ole body into them. They can be selective. How do I know? My child goes to one. If one child is bad enough and enough parents complain, they can get that child kicked out.
