That's ok Jimmy, I still like ya, but your in trouble big time if you mess with my cigs, at least until Friday when I can no longer afford the only vice I have left to enjoy. As for them killing me, well if they don't something else will.

As for them killing me, well if they don't something else will. Oh boo. I like you too. I hope you are able to quit. For the sake of your health and your pocketbook. Actually, I used to be very tolerant of smokers, but my good sense has gradually taken over. It is very difficult(if not dangerous sometimes) to try to reason with an addict. And that's what smokers are- nicotine addicts. I hope all of you are able to kick the habit some day. I know it's a hard thing to do. |

Well as far as the adiction itself we all hate the truth, we are addicted to the damn things. I have been smoking since I was 15, and I have quit a couple of times. I just dislike being forced to quit, that should be my decision. While part of me understands your concern, I do want to smack you just once. I won't hit you too hard.. grin! I will love having the extra money, at least for a while until someone figures out how to take that away too. Then it damn well better be worth the withdrawls.. |

once upon a time Mark Twain went to visit his dying aunt in the hospital
he told her "you know you should really give up smoking" and she said "I don't smoke Mark" so he said, "Then you should give up drinking" and she said "I don't drink either" so he said, "then you should give up playing cards all night with the men" and she said "I dont do that either" and Mark Twain said, "There you go. You're in a balloon with nothing to throw out" |

I bet that smug prick has no clue..... Listen here, Mr Timothy B Schmitt. I am Krupa... If you are gonna step up to the plate...swing the bat or walk away. I get the distinct impression that if this were a live in person discussion that I would be threatened with physical violence. It's not that important to me, Krupa. You win. note to self..be cool with the fellow and don't throw him face first into a cactus... see..negotiations can work. If we can see things from opposing yet equal sides...perhaps a happy medium can be found. Hope is not lost! |

Seriously Jimmy..
all smoking issues aside.... take anything that you buy for your daily lifestyle... milk, cheeses, bread, porn, condoms.... The thing that has me truly frustrated and (well, frankly angry) is a 2,153% tax increase on a product I buy. Tax jumping from $1.06 to $25.78. Right or wrong...healthy or un healthy...(I got full coverage insurances...disability, hospitilization, dental, cancer) everything my company offers... What would you pay for in your own daily routine that you could easily kick back and say.."Ya know....2,153% is a fair tax rate."???? I don't actually know you and in all reality, we would probably get along...... But, what ever your feelings about smoking or my feelings about aholes...it is meaningless. what would you pay 2,153% tax on and be happy about? |

If you are referring to withdrawls, oh ya, that fits. I won't be in mingle on those days, hell I won't visit my neighbors on those days.. When my Dad tried quitting several different times, my mom nicknamed him Hitler. One time he locked himself up in a motel room while he withdrew from the cigs. The gum didn't work, cold turkey, and the patch didn't work. Fast forward over 30 yrs. later...he was finally able to quit with Wellbutrin and the patch. He has emphysema and severe COPD from the cigs. He's dying from them. |
