i can show you pictures of the conditions of the inmates in there tents . i can show you court papers where he has been sued for civil rights violations as recently as 2008 and there are still new ones being filed by the people who he is stopping because they look hispanic . look it up smart guy , it's public record . the fact he has never lost does not mean the alligations are not true .

Without convictions, he is innocent.
He's admitted they are housed in tents. What do you want? Put them up in the Hilton? Why should the Tax Payer be required to pay out more than necessary?

I go regularly to Mexico and returning, I have to show Drivers license and Birth Certificate. My Mex. friends just flash their Mica.
I never volunteer the Birth Certificate.

willing, i like you and i want you to know that being a taxpayer does not make the person. it just makes that person someone who is paying the taxes forced upon him/her.

as a matter of fact look it up he was sued by the mayor of mesa for going into a public building after hours and running city employees to find out if any were illegal . but he is realy loved

If he is ever convicted, he should get the max. Law Officers are supposed to be the examples.

Now, I really, really am gonna' go play poker.

"they stop people and arrest anyone who cannot prove he or she is a legal U.S. resident."

Which I wish every law officer would do. Quit eating donuts and chasing pot heads. Get down to real police work already.

The activist, ask them all for papers, and if they don't have them, arrest and deport them too. If they are legal, just arrest them for disturbing the peace.

ANY measures taken to get rid of illegals, or discourage others from coming, I am ALL for. Big fan of Joe's. He is one of the reasons why Arizona looks so appealing. Always amazes me how some people would actually rather back the illegals than give props to one of the few people out there trying to enforce the laws. I don't put any stock into the complaints of the ones who are backing the illegals, probably just lying and exaggerating about most of it, and don't care if it is all true anyway. I think the people who aid, employ, house, or in any way assist any illegal, should be up on charges as well.

newie no one is defending the illegals . it's the people who are here legaly who are profied because they are hispanic . some of which were born and raised here . from your screen name i am guessing you havent lived in az for a long time and you live in tucson , where i grew up by the way , i am a native arizonan and have seen what joe does first hand . i used to live in maricopa county , and the things he does are on the edge of legal , some of them leaning twords illegal . i know cops and former cops that dont like him .

alot of people like him and alot of people dont . and if you look at his record he has been brought up for civil rights violations many times . he has beat them everytime . he is popular with people because he saves maricopa county money by giving the the inmates a brown bag lunch for them two meals a day , by making them live in tents in the desert in the middle of the summer . i understand these people have done somthing wrong to be there but they do deserve to be treated like human beings.

maybe there would be less crime if the prison system wasn't like the Hilton to some. alot of inmates have a great life compared to some people that haven't committed a crime

anyone here legally has the rights as a citizen just like i do.

it's not about treating them like they are in the hilton . but makeing them live in tents with no air conditioning in arizona in august thats a lil much . reading the prisoners bedtime stories at night degradeing . they are still human beings , and as i said now he has the chiefs of polie and mayors from the cities of maricopa county going after his head he wont last much longer . he thinks he is above the law , he is not . he thinks he is the law, he is not .

i stand behind....don't do the crime if you can't do the time

I wonder what people in Arizona did a hundred years ago before there was air conditioning?

did they think it was cruel that they didn't have artificially chilled air?

oh you havent heard sherriff joe brought back the chaingangs . like i said it's not about being willing to do the time , it's about the way they are treated . our government treated the terrorists in gitmo better then sherriff joe treats the inmates in tent city . sherriff joe has cost the county more in defending lawsuites then he has saved in cutting costs .

innocent until proven guilty. the prisoners were already found guilty

BTW...nothing wrong with brown bagging it. honest people do that too...why should the guilty have better?

not all people in tent city have been found guilty . no nithing wrong with brown bagging it . accept when you are given both bags at the beggining of the day and the food sits on your bunk in the 120 degree weather .
