To Galendgirl for Mother's Day. JAG....Golfed lately? Yep. I have been out the last two weekends. The last course I played was a really nice on that is about an hour from me. One of the holes has two GIANT Willow trees directly in front of the green. All I could do was look at that and shake my head....lol There is a site that lets you plug in your scores from 10 rounds and it will calculate your handicap for you. According to that site my handicap is 24. Not too shabby. Not going out this weekend, but on the 20th I'll be playing 27 holes and on the 21st I'll be playing one of the fancy shmancy courses because a dude at work owes me a round for losing a bet...lol Fancy Schmancy eh? Better upgrade to designer polo shirt for that course......hehe. I knew you'd be golfing already. Already bought a couple when I got my new clubs. LOL |

PS...how was the date??? Fantastic! Hopefully there will be many more of the same. Had a great evening. I had to wait until I got his report...considering he's reading this.... |

Okay...here's a good one!
I'm "told" that because I drive a stick, my left leg and etc should be stronger. If that's true, why does my left ummmmmmm...cheek always hurt more than the right when I've overdone a workout? |

Okay...here's a good one! I'm "told" that because I drive a stick, my left leg and etc should be stronger. If that's true, why does my left ummmmmmm...cheek always hurt more than the right when I've overdone a workout? Sorry JAG for answering ahead of you....but I would look to your back for that symptom. There's a little muscle called the piriformis that can spasm and put pressure on the nerves in your "cheek". Try getting a golf ball and applying it right to the spot of tenderness and just lie on top of it, with your legs stretched out until you feel the tenderness go away. |

Your left leg does get stronger, however when you push down with your left leg your right cheek flexes more than the left to maintain your balance. You can test the truth of this by sitting on your hands and pushing down with your left leg against the floor. |

THAT muscle gets well stretched thanks to a hip injury a number of years ago and some really good PT that included a special stretch! Are you a PT, Heather? |
