Why is it so easy to hurt people inadvertently? I HATE being the cause of anybody's hurt...
frustrated

C'mon, JAG - lemme have this one!

Just go for it...you can be nice or you can beat me up. At this point it won't even matter...indifferent

Anyone who wishes to answer in my absence is free to do so.

@Galendgirl

Even though it's easy to hurt people inadvertently, it's MUCH easier to do so on purpose.

The fact that you feel bad about doing it accidentally says a lot about who you are.

You don't WISH to hurt anyone, but it happens. The best thing you can do is sit back and realize that you cannot control every aspect of other people. Some things are going to hurt people, even if it may seem like something completely benign.

Here's your "other" answer:
In your quest to enjoy the highest emotional moments, your efforts have the possibility of completely backfiring.
The thing to remember is the balance overall is worth it. You can't have a Heaven without a Hell, the joy of birth without death, or love without loss.
No one wants a lukewarm life - so keep reaching for those highs!

Well all I can say to BOTH my guru answering persons...
Thanks and here's some:heart: flowerforyou  flowerforyou for both of you.

I do try to keep balance, but yeah...mediocrity isn't living, and that sure can backfire (usually when you least expect it!) Sometimes it's a matter of getting caught in other people's quest and sometimes it's your own journey.

I guess as long as I can care about the results, it's worth the price of the trip.

Yeah, I know...but still hate that it hurts someone while I still know that the decision was the right one. The dichodomy of life...

Deep thoughts...and shallow attempts to frame answers to life's BIG questions. Like "Fries or onion rings?"

Is it wrong JAG, to totally blow off any productive endeavors when you have the odd day off? I have a meeting at school today, but other than that, I'm thinking of doing absolutely nothing.

Personally, and based on multiple previous responses from JAG regarding productivity on days off...I'm betting he's gonna tell ya to play hookey from everthing you possibly can and go enjoy the day!
Lucky you! From me to you...ENJOY!

Thanks! I think I'll drink more tea and read my book. I might take a long bubblebath and walk around the house naked. If I could fit a nap in there somewhere I could be tempted to do that too!......laugh

Are classy labels inappropriate for graduation announcements? My handwriting stinks and we don't even want to DISCUSS my son's penmanship...

In this day and age, no way! I would be doing the same thing. Calligraphy is not a strong suit of mine either. It'll save you loads of time too!

Well come on down...Memorial Day Weekend!

Must be a guy thing, though...the graduate himself is very "Who cares?" about most of the stuff.
Party? Whatever...
Guests? Whatever...
