Okay, then lets assume you are right and God made mankind from the mud of the earth. Let's just say for a minute.. that this is a fact.

How did God do that?

Get down to the nitty gritty on a quantum level or even magick and tell me how you think God did that?

No matter how miraculous anything is, there has to be a method or means by which the thing was done. What was the technology that accomplished that feat... LOGICALLY. Remember, it MUST BE LOGICAL in order to make sense.

I'm serious about this question. You apparently require logic in order to make sense of information. Where is your logic in the story that God created mankind from the mud?

What does that mean to you? How did God do that?

Don't you know that our little brains could never even begin to figure this out...don't be absurd...this is God we are talking about, not some chemical company...get real...u will never begin to understand what he can do....

Italy0219,

Well that's a defeatists attitude.laugh  I'm not being absurd. Why on earth would you think that I am being absurd? I think what is absurd is to believe the story of creation without some reasonable idea if that story is even feasible.

You say "This is God we are talking about..." as if you know what God is. I don't think you do.

If some deity of unknown power and origin created this earth and mankind, there actually has to be a specific method that was used that follows some sort of reasoning, even if he just dreamed it up and it appeared as a projection from his mind.

But that is not what the Bible said. It says God made man from the dust of the earth and breathed life into him. What does this mean? I'm looking for reasonable translations.

I am the kind of person who wants a reasonable explanation of what people think God is, and if they can come up with that, then tell me how God creates the universe.

I am baffled that people don't ask these kinds of questions. They just take everything they read literally and swallow it whole. And it does not make sense.

Seriously, you don't understand what is illogical about a deity forming a man out of mud or clay and then breathing life into it?

"JennieBean" ..christians are not allowed to answer that question because it goes against their faith to do so ...faith doesn't require anthing to be logical it requires the belief to be accepted and not questioned..that's why to have faith means not to know not require to know or not what to know ...

Faith=see no..hear no..speak no..beyond the belief

That is after all the only way religion work. Can't have people thinking to much about or it starts to not make sense. Ignore the man behind the curtain!
To offer an explanation as jenniebean asked I believe you first have to lay some ground work. Genesis is not a scientific account of how god created everything. Even if god had used today's technology to do so, it would be beyond the understanding of anyone living then. The account in genesis was a long held tradition passed down through many generations as evidenced by the fact that the story shows up in many similar forms long before the accounts of the scripture in any of its forms (oral or written) were ever conceived. Going off of this we can't rely on the account of genesis to guide us.
If god did it, I can imagine it would have used some advanced cloning process. We are told we were made in it's image after all. From my very small understanding of the process, the cloned cells must be stimulated to begin multiplying. The breath of god must be the process of stimulating the cells. Maybe it made us hybridization of the earth and itself.

Smoke and Mirrors

Smoke and mirrors as an answer would only be logical in the use of slight of hand. Since I doubt that every living thing or piece of dirt or land-form that's ever existed on this planet has been a mere entertaining prop for the Gods' entertainment...

Energy shaped every speck of matter into some form of physical manifestation. Humans are of the same basic elemental components as mud/dust. So, I guess it's not so far fetched.

When Religion can shut up long enough to see how Science will provide the facts and Science can see into the value in the code of text... Perhaps that will be when it starts making total sense.

Each physical body (animate or inanimate) has energy flowing through it. It responds in infinite ways to the energy of those bodies surrounding it (in one way or another).

If we all transmit energy and respond to energy... it seems to make sense that the energy that originated all of this interaction, throughout "creation", is of the same stuff as all of us. We are all like walking antennae with connections to total energy of which we have only a smidgen of any sense.

What keeps driving us to face this overwhelmingly exhausting human condition, generation after generation? Perhaps we (in our blindness) unconsciously (or subconsciously) seek to connect with the energy that sparks it all.

God? Is that you?
Crystal Entity? Is that you?
Cosmic Flare? Is that you?

We already existed in spirit form with God before we were born of flesh we just don't remember being in the spirit world before being born in the flesh (of woman)
No one ever notices something that I think is so important...and they assume those days to be 24 hours long instead of probably 1000 years based on today's calendar now too.

When the bible talks about the evening and the morning in Genesis here a day is not based on our day length at all. These are pointed out differently in the bible when they refer to when God changed our life expectancy later on. A day and night is 1000 years.

This is on the 6th day of creation 6000 years of our years since the first day of creation.

Read slowly...
26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Who do you think God was talking to? Us? possibly? Us?

We are the ones he was talking to...we just don't remember this spirit life until going back to it... We chose to be born of waters (or woman) then...

27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Then in Genesis Chapter 2 God creates flesh man (after all of mankind has already been created and he had rested....this is what a lot of people miss for some reason they are mislead...but flesh man is created after the heavens and the earth were completed after the 7th day not part of the 6th day creation...

If you don't believe me read it again....
Genesis chapter 1 & 2

Hence in summary what I am trying to say here is that all mankind and creatures of the earth were created by the 6th day and then a few thousand years later God decided he needed flesh man to till the ground so then ....

5And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

6But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

8And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

What does the earth(dirt) consists of?

Dirt contains ALL THE ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS neccessary for LIFE....

and for giving us Food .

Of course, we all need Air and Sunshine also, in order to be able to Live.

Cows for instance, eat grass, and produce Milk.

And give us beef.

BUT when there is no grass available ,

the cows die(exactly what is happening right now on the ranches here, due to severe drought here).

ALL the Hay...all the other mineral supplements ...and all the other extra supplements we give to the cows to eat,

will NOT help the cattle to stay strong for very long, and be able to live.....

without eventually becoming sickly and dying....:cry::cry: .

Cows need the green grass to live..which of course, comes from the earth....

like ALL living things, come from the earth(dirt).

Including man.

EXCEPT , when it comes to MAN...

God, ESPECIALLY made Man

differently....

from the rest of creation God made...

although all of creation comes from dirt also.

God FORMED man from dirt....and THEN GOD ALSO BREATHED LIFE INTO MAN.

God did this for man only.

Again....Why dirt?

Cause dirt contains ALL THE

ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS(the VERY same

elements which are also found in

the human body) to MAINTAIN LIFE....

the same dirt that maintains life for ALL living creatures and things on this planet.

It all makes perfect sense, if we just think about it for a moment.
