Longhairbiker walks up onto the stage wearing his beautiful bright neon green tuxedo to a screaming standing ovation crowd here at the first annual cynacism awards here at "Just say one plus you mingle too" stadium in san francisco to receive his award.....his "cyndie".....a beautiful brass statuesque of the caliber of a grammy or academy award only the figurine is upside down so its ass is in the air. Such an memorable event!!!

To be completely honest, the world needs more cynics. I'm not saying that the world should necessary over-anylyze the motives of everything they run across, but there's far too many people in the world who go around pretending to be Pollyanna all their lives. Life is NOT that way.

If there's any negativity here, it's more likely from the people who believe the world is all butterflies and puppy dogs and flowers and blowing sunshine up everybody's ass. Sorry, but real life is not like that.

Not being a cynic doesn't mean that we think the world is butterflies and puppy dogs. By all means far from it, as the cynics are claiming 'we' are calling them hyer-negative, the cynics are calling 'us' hyper-positive.

How do you like them apples? laugh

Exactly. It's no different from that bleeding-heart, pro-gun control liberal who gets violently mugged for the first time. If you ever wanna see someone go from "pro gun-control" to "pro gun-rights" in a matter of seconds, it'd be them. LOL

being a friend with a cynic requires a thick skin. so if you're the sensetive type..you probably wouldn't do so well.

and thats okay too..

*coughpansiescough*

It takes more courage to have thin skin and face the world and cynics. Nothing pansy about that.

The thing is, the "positive preachers" are mistakenly looking at cynics as people who are tilting at windmills, when that's not the case whatsoever.

The ovation continues and the cheering and screaming reach unfathomable levels. Longhairbiker has on his best smile and even bows a few times which prolongs his oratory response.

Ok..... let me put this is way....

Where you have thick or thin skin, you still have a blow/injury inflicted. Just b/c you have a thick skin doesn't mean that you are immune to hurt or insult.

With an individual with thick skin, that injury leaves a dent, gouge, or mark. So eventually, your thick skin is full of scabs and rough gashes. Making your outer appearance 'ugly' as well as your internal (or what people preceive as your internal).

Whereas a person with thin skin, gets the wound, puts a bandaid on it or get stiches, takes care of it allows it to heal. They are proud of that scar. It shows that they have made it through something and healed. That scar is not ugly but represents something beautiful.

So never discount those that have thin skins. For just because they bleed doesn't make them weak.

If you had a great idea for a business, would you take you idea and share it with a person you know is a cynic?

If you do, you are doomed.

He will shoot it down and deflate your energy.

You should only share your dreams and idea with someone who will give positive input and support or keep it to yourself.

What does that say about cynics in general?

It is okay to be cynical with your own life, but don't spread it around. It is like a disease.

I love comedians who are cynics because they illustrate the problems of people who live their lives in that state of mind and set a good example of what NOT TO BE.

Plus they let us take a good look at our cynical sides and make us laugh at ourselves. Laughter is always a good thing.

Perhaps, but it certainly doesn't hurt our cause any.

There's the magic word -- "perceive". When somebody has walked a mile in my shoes -- they'll be a mile away and they'll have my shoes, which ALSO reinforces my skepticism.

Longhairbiker speaks. "WOW!!! You love me! You really love me! Well most of you do! Some of you are skeptical. Some of you are cynical. And a few of you need occupational, physical, and psychological therapy. (crowd laughs). I have a huge list of people I'd like to thank on behalf of myself receiving this award. I'm extremely honored and still wondering 'WHAT'S THE CATCH'? (crowd laughs) Are you sure this awards real and not made of chocolate"? (longhairbiker bangs it on table- CLUNK! CLUNK!- crowd laughs)

"Movable" is easy enough. But I'm not doing the pursuit thing anymore. Too much wasted energy, too little results.

That's why I stuck out my tongue, just kidding. That, or, I was trying to get a bit of those leftover wet noodles? Now there's a stumper...

oh honey i love ya but i totally disagree with ya. i have thick skin and when people say things that are hurtful or bad i pay them no mind. regardless to their mental state. they could be cruel, cynical, abusive, whatever. i don't allow people to dent or scab up my thick skin and i know quite a few people who are thick skinned who feel the same way. its not saying we are better... just different.

we take things different.

if i'm insulted its gotta be something hardcore and even then... its something i face and take on. i won't hesitate to turn around and call someone out for their comments and my opinion heard if they take things far enough. but i'm not about to cry about it.

sure words can hurt.

but only if you let them get past that first layer.

so if i cynic says something harsh.. i laugh becuase they are a cynic and i know who its coming from and why. and i'll call them out for saying what they said. thats just how i am and those i know who are similar in thought.

its not everyone... just a minute few of us.

"First and foremost I'd like to thank my parents who helped my cynacism by telling me my first lies. Mom. Dad. Thank you for the easter bunny, santa claus, and the tooth fairy you sick twisted psychopathic people. (crowd laughs) No. I love you mom n dad. You must have had reasons for everything you did. From high hopes of a prodigy child that you enrolled in school at 4 years old, dressing me in plaid, giving me a bowl haircut, and essentially painting a target on my forehead saying 'Beat me up' to the 6 year olds in my class to being hyperkenetic control freaks controling every aspect and moment of my life until I freaked out and ran away from home and moved 12,000 miles away from you to europe because I didn't have the means at the time to move to another planet.(crowd laughs) I love you mom and dad".

"The difference between sarcasm and cynacism is the amount of humor used and in which context the humor is used. With that I'd like to thank my God, his God, her God, their God, that guy over there's God for this award. And for you athiests I'd like to thank your living room lamp". (crowd laughs- except for one guy with a confused look on his face that doesn't get the joke)
