Speaking of wolfpack mentalities, and just generally speaking the drama-metre, I seem to recall a thread in the not too distant past, where someone was hem-hawing as to rather or not they should "out" a fraud.

If all are to be given a chance, or the benefit of the doubt,shouldn't threads like that one be against the rules?

Having spent a portion of my life around wolfpacks, I believe that to be an inaccurate portrayal of some of the events that happen on forums sites. To me, it seems more like a school of barracudas at times.

We should post as individuals, and all keeping in mind that the people we post with and around are all living breathing human beings with real feelings. We may not all agree on everything.
But we should at least try to be civil in our
discussions.

Leaving the fakes and frauds to the site owners or moderators.

That's interesting, Rock...especially since you & I are both on another site where fakes are extremely prevailent... I do seem to recall a lot of "outing" taking place...up to & including posting someone's criminal record & past... Perhaps that should have been left up to that site owner as well?

I'm a popular target of the pack because I come off as different...maybe because I'm so random.

...and because I can be defensive against pack animals. They try to say that I should deal with it because it's the internet. And they're surprised by my biting comebacks when I've my back to the wall, so they relent a little.

Honest, maybe overly genuine online, too open, too vulnerable. Overly flirtatious and outrageous (when I want to be). Am I like this in person? Sometimes.

Do I get the pack mentality against me real life? Rarely. People are freer to express their real selves towards me online. Most have great difficulty face-to-face. Most not all.

Somebody call me fake.
