Oh dear, it sounded as if I were making fun of these things, certainly not, I am addressing it, as a very open discussion. I apologize to all those I may have offended. Hugs and blessings, lilwickflowerforyou

I think they are just as likely to exist as god or the flying spaghetti monster. drinker

Ahh thanks! I thought it was a misspelling and she meant "fate". Interesting. I have always loved fairies and I have them all over the house and fairy jewelry so that’s fascinating. Thanks.

"The word fairy derives from the term fae of medieval Western European (Old French) folklore and romance, one famous example being Morgan le Fay. "Fae-ery" was therefore everything that appertains to the "fae", and so the land of "faes", all the "faes". Finally the word replaced its original and one could speak of "a faery or fairy", though the word fey is still used as an adjective."

They are not mentioned in the bible, therefore I do not believe in them. The same goes for dinosaurs.

Haha.

Ahh but Santa, who is based on the real Christian Saint Nicholas, surrounded himself by fairies and elves who work for him the entire year manufacturing toys in a mystical forest somewhere hidden from human gaze in the North Pole.

Now where in the bible does it discuss elves and fairies and goblins? happy

Dragons are mentioned in the Bible. In fact, God himself describes them in his own words as he speaks directly to Job.

So there can be no doubt that the Biblical God beleives in dragons, and is even very PROUD of having designed them. bigsmile

The biblical God speaks about Dragons as though they were one of his greatest accomplishments.

That really brings into question why he would have allowed them to become extinct?

Moreover, he spoke to Job like as if Job should know what dragons are. So that kind of implies that dragons must have been alive in Job's day.

Edited to add:

I should probably clarify here that God spoke specifically of fire breathing dragons, not just your run of the mill dinosaurus. laugh

Abra is right. I totally forgot. Here is one mention anyway.

Isaiah 13

13:21 But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

13:22 And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

Oh yeah...I forgot. Isnt there also some reference in The Book of Revelations about a hydra dragon and fire beathing locusts with lion heads, and flying horses?

I totally forgot about that.

I've never read the bible from front to back. I have read a lot of the new testament though.

When the last eagle flies over the last crumbling mountain
And the last lion roars at the last dusty fountain
In the shadow of the forest though she may be old and worn
They will stare unbelieving at the last unicorn
When the first breath of winter through the flowers is icing
And you look to the north and a pale moon is rising
And it seems like all is dying and would leave the world to mourn
In the distance hear the laughter of the last unicorn
I'm alive, I'm alive
When the last moon is cast over the last star of morning
And the future has passed without even a last desperate warning
Then look into the sky where through the clouds a path is torn
Look and see her how she sparkles, it's the last unicorn
I'm alive, I'm alive

my horse tells me shes a unicorn but i cant really tell since i lost my viginity long before i adopted her lol.....but i think its cool enough to have a talking horse:tongue:
