This country was founded "Under God". Some people need to study the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
To answer your question, from what I have seen Barfy Hussein is a Muslim. Now if he changed his faith to Christianity, then all his Islamic buddies are gonna be out to chop his head off. Those Muslims are funny like that.

I totally agree...I think he is muslim...and I do believe there is a God if not then I am wrong...but to all those who mock Him...and make jokes about Him...what if I am right...

And who's to say that Allah, the Muslim god is the false one and the Christian god is the real one? Maybe it's Buddha we should all be praying to...!

"Believing there is no God gives me more room for belief in family, people,
love, truth, beauty, sex, Jell-o, and all the other things I can prove and
that make this life the best life I will ever have." - Penn Jillette

I did not ask you to believe I could care less if you believe or not...put Him in politics or don't won't change my mind one bit...I gave my opinion as is my right to do I will not be pulled into you fights about God I know what I feel and it is my right to feel it and express it that is what these forums are for..

A bit defensive considering no one attacked you personally. I personally do not believe for one moment that Obama is Muslim, but as I said I tend to think he is not all that into the dogma of Christianity either.

Yes, there is a God and it's not Allah.

There is only ONE GOD...only one way to Him through JESUS CHRIST!

I don't believe in Jesus, or God, or Allah, or Buddha... I believe in John and Yoko!

believe in what you want as is your right...but do you see us making jokes of it..maybe your belief is not as strong as ours...

Hey, don't forget the chi... grin.

I did like some of what Jesus was about, though not convinced he was anything but a hippie in his time. The Allah thing is just more christian type programming, and the Budda, well other than some basic ideas, I don't know that much about it. What I do know if it is interesting but not enough for me to focus on it.

We can’t very well even conduct these discussions if people are simply going to whine "bashing" and that they are being "attacked." What makes you think we would not be speaking out against Islam if we were in the Middle East right now? The only difference is Boo and I would be dead or in prison by now.

Oh yeah, Jesus was truly an awesome man. A man of peace, who thru meditation was somehow more enlightened than the average uneducated man living in the middle east. But, I think he was just a kind hearted person, and NOT the son of god. When he was asked if he really was the son of god, do you know what his answer was? He replied: "We're all children of God."
Moses was also someone who tried to better his people. Unfortunately the only way you could get those crazy arabs running barefoot in the sand chopping each other's limbs off with swords fighting over women and sheep, was to use scare tactics. "If thou has relations with thy neighbor's wife, thou hast committed a sin, and thou shall go to Hell..." or something like that.
It's really sad, the people couldn't be convinced not to rape the neighbor's wife or steal each other's sheep unless they feared the eternal flames of Hell.
Now Mohammad, he was a bit more aggressive than the peaceful Jesus, or Moses. When Jesus said that if someone slaps you, turn the other cheek, Mohammad's answer is if someone punches you, punch them back... An eye for an eye.
Yeah, I know my religions!!! I've studied them all.

Buddha would be appalled at the idea of anyone worshiping him, he believed in God and he did not believe he was one. Buddha is just simply a term that means "enlightened one."

As for whether or not Obama is Christian, does it really matter? I mean seriously. I know many, many Muslims who practice the beliefs of Christianity far better than most Christians I know. They actually walk the talk. They are giving, loving, generous and open-minded. And, they are as appalled at what a very small group of extremists did as we are. They do not in any way consider them to be true Muslims, just a group of people who have so corrupted their teaching as to be virtually unrecognizable. And, unlike most Christians, Islam believes in the principles of Christianity and believe that Jesus was a prophet, a wise and wonderful human with greatness in his teachings. Matter of fact, all major religions, as a whole, believe this. If only many Christians could learn such open-minded and open-heartedness.

Religion is just dogma anyway, a smoke and mirror show designed to keep people separate instead of allowing us to come together as humans as a whole.

And I am talking religion, not spirituality or belief in God. There is quite the difference.

I fail to see where anyone made you look like a fool or is bashing you personally. I would say though, that Christians can't post scripture and their interpretation of Christianity and not expect debate or questioning, so if you take that as bashing then I don't know what to say.

SuzinVA,

I was just being sarcastic when I said that perhaps we should be worshipping Buddha. It was just to make a point.

Namaste!

I know, I was just making a point as well. There are many many people, though, who believe that buddhists worship buddha as a God. I felt that should be cleared up. flowerforyou

Your absolutely right that Buddha is not God and Buddhism is not a religion.

However I had heard something about certain segments are starting to act like a religion as Christianity does. I tend to think once a person has set beliefs they in some cases start trying to take over, if I said that right.
