I hope you can find another job quickly. Sounds like you are lucky in the long run to be well rid of him.

that is what i read. she is boinking her boss, picks his pockets to find out he is 5 years older or younger, and i forgot....so then, he gets pissed off, and she feels the pain of being lied to, while he probably does it everyday of his life while working for the govt...x files thriller. so they split up, and she goes home and OD's on cookies and chocolate. they find her bloated the next morning with a love note explaining what killed her.

I can see a few years difference, but once you start going deep into the double digits it seems kind of creepy to me, I mean, this dude was practically past puberty before you were even born...yikes. Good luck with the outcome, sometimes bad stuff happening is the only opportunity we have to learn from our mistakes.

Whisper,, so its not so much the age as it is the lie?? Or is is both? I mean the guy you see, met and obviously fell for is still the same guy. Hes only a little bit dirtier now. You have a few options in my book. 1. you can get even 2. you can get an apology and discuss your future with him. 3. you can cut to the chase and drop him like a hot rock. OK, this board was never meant to be in issue about my age prefrence. Yea he was a little older then me, but so what? If he had told me that he was 50 and not 45, it still would have not made a difference, I would have still had the same feelings for him. Yes, he is my boss but really how can you help who you like? It is over, he is gone. A lot of people on here was right, a lie is a lie.

WOW is right! It was us, (society) that told him he had to fit within a certain 'bracket' to have a chance with her. Life is too short to worry about all the 'facts'! If it feels good to YOU 'in the moment', Go for it! Grab all the happyness you can as it comes around. Regret nothing, but please learn from it. Nothing is permenent, every thing changes. You have to grow & evolve to participate. Regret,guilt,shame,anger & intolerance will take it's toll before your time. Expect nothing and you won't be disapointed!
