Don't do drugs kids, at least not until your old enough to understand the legal ramifications of the choices and if you choose to at that point...enjoy responsibly.

My two daughters seen what drugs did to their father and won't have anything to do with it or anything to do with anyone who does it.

if i found my kids smoking pot (which i dont have kids) i would do the rite thing by talking with them about there decision. Id tell them all the bad things that are out there and to not 'open the gateway' so to speak. Smoking is mentally addictive, id take there pipe away and ask if they thought they would likely try pot again if so then id buy them a vaporizer. kids will be kids might as well partake in a healthy way

Have a number of them, there is about three saying it is the gateway drug...kind of funny actually, a few sites saying it is the gateway drug (most with the same story) and gobs of stories saying it isn't (all different).

if i caught my kid with pot, i would assure him that he was in no trouble and make him show me the rest of his stash, then i'd make him smoke it all right in front of me, after which he would peobably pass out. I'd then take him to the hospital to make sure he was ok and to get him the nessecary treatment to kick the habit. I'd enroll him in a drug rehab program and drive him to school everyday. I'd pay a guard to shadow him while at school and make sure he wears the sign i made for him that says "I'M A POTHEAD AREN'T I COOL" everytday until I think he learned a lesson, somewhere around his junior year of high school.

Brilliant, you will create a manic depressive with paranoia issues. Leading to an adult life of utterly alone and even more depressed, chances are at that point they will need medication and won't go because of past psychological trauma at the hospital.

Choices you make when children are younger can lead up to choices they make when they grow older...psychological trauma is not something you want your child living with, and that is basic psychology for just about every human.

Yes you can. It is very simple really, all you have to do is use psycological trauma at a young age. Bi-polar is the tricky one, that takes a lot of emotional abuse and neglect.

Kids are alienated everyday from family, friends, and social events. Some go on and become the next Columbine or Virginia Tech, some get help and treatment and become productive members of society. This is how Manson's and Bundy's are created, with blissful ignorance to what can and has occured with the past.

Kids don't become something out of right to passage, kids are taught what to be through parents.

Any sadistic bastard with the know how, skills, and means can break down a bastard in 24 hours. The CIA trains people how to do this..

I guess I can partially agree with you on those things. However, I believe that if you set a good example of what a good person in your eyes is in front of your child and that person dosen't do drugs to begin with. Then the bases for your child's structural psyche is of a positive tone and helps them to be healthy mentally later in life. Drug use,foul language, and other abusive attitudes and tendancies I believe stem from early development not teen to adult developmental stages. That being said if i am giving the good example i discribed here as a model for my child to follow before they are 13 then at that point they should know better and have adopted most of the values I tried to instill in them at a young age. Of course i wouldn't do such a thing to a young child but If you are over the age of 14 or 15 you have enough common sense and morals to make the right choices and if you bow down to peer pressure then you are accepting the trouble that comes with it. So if my 14 to 17 year old son is smoking pot then I think either my punishment will make him quit forever and greatly change how he views ture friends and life situations or he will fail at life which will mean i failed as a father....

either way i will not know until i have a son or daughter and this situation arises which it probably will unfortunatly.

it's not bad as long as ur kid don't go to worse drugs....it's not a gateway drug.some people get hyper when they smoke lol.i wouldn't freak out over it.i do have a child & would make sure he is responible bout it.
