A Palestine doesn’t have the right to defend itself against massacre of innocent civilians?

<--------------
The Israeli's should be living under this flag spidey!
They should call themselves Palestinian!

Why? Why do the Arab Muslims have a right to a nation, but Israel doesn't? Why when they were 1/3 of the population of the area? Why? WHY? When an international body offered the two state solution and the Arab Muslims rejected that solution, why are the Jews blamed? WHY?

So you are saying that the Palestinians have no right to occupy their own homeland because they are of Arabic descent primarily and are Muslim?

No, I didn't say that.

What I did say is that Israel has a right to defend itself.

The area in question was 66% non-Jew / 33% Jew when Israel was formed by the UN. The Jews were given 1/5 of the land (60% of the land given to them was desert) and the non-Jews were given 4/5 of the land. The non-Jews were given all of the sea ports and almost all of the developed land. The Jews accepted the deal, the non-Jews did not and dedicated their lives to the destruction of Israel. That's the history, I'm sorry that it doesn't line up with what you want to believe, but you can research it for yourself. The Jews have every right to be there, just as the Palestinians do. The Palestinians simply had to take their land and be their own nation state. The two state opinion has always been on the table, they simply refuse to accept it. When Bill Clinton tried to broker a two nation deal, the infitada started, resulting in the deaths of many innocent Israelis. Once again, sorry if you can't accept the facts, but those are the facts.

The massive and deliberate destruction of Palestinian civil records in the West Bank in the last weeks is but the most recent chapter in a war against Palestinian memory that began in 1948, with the annihilation of 400 Palestinian villages. But you seem to learn nothing from history, indeed from your own history: ghosts always return, each time more violently.

In 1948? Oh, you mean when the Palestinians and five countries tried to destroy Israel? Oh, I guess the Israelis were wrong to protect themselves back then to. You truly are a humanitarian. Deny the Jews their right to self defense, but I shouldn't call it Jew hatred! Oh no...

They have no right to defense, when they are a aggressors. Sorry, but that's international law. I am afraid that Israel will have to bomb Palestine until no buildings are standing before the Palestinians stop attacking Israeli civilians.

Words fail; ordinary terms are inadequate to describe the horrors Israel daily perpetrates, and has perpetrated for years, against the Palestinians. The tragedy of Gaza has been described a hundred times over, as have the tragedies of 1948, of Qibya, of Sabra and Shatila, of Jenin — 60 years of atrocity perpetrated in the name of Judaism. When is enough enough already?

Even the cautious and pro-Israeli The Economist saw clear evidence of war crimes. U.N. envoy Terje Roed-Larsen described the devastation in Jenin as "horrific beyond belief," and said it was "morally repugnant" that Israel blocked humanitarian emergency workers from entering Jenin for 11 days. Israel is still blocking rescue teams, while Perez is pondering whether to send Roed-Larsen home with a note to his parents or merely revoke his weekly allowance. The undiplomatic words of the Norwegian diplomat, but not the undiplomatic reality these words refer to, really hurt Israel's highly evolved moral sensibility.

Your idea of a rebuttal is "Oh yeah! Well the Israelis did this!!!!!"

laugh

That is how a child argues. You haven't addressed a single point I have raised, you have simply made opposing assertions. What a joke. laugh

I won’t be dragged into your infantile false accusations and personal insults. I clearly presented opposing arguments to every one of your ill prepared and ridiculous claims. Please find one that I missed and I will be happy to respond. In fact I’m waiting to debate with anyone else at this point as you are dried up unless you offer something new.

At least 820 Palestinians, roughly half of them civilians, have been killed.

Where is the outrage at the terrorists who hide among women and children while they kill the women and children of Israel? sick

But I shouldn't call it "Jew hatred"! Oh no! The Jews have no right to protect themselves in some people's eyes, but that's not Jew hatred. Some people are silent while the Israelis are under attack, but that's not Jew hatred.

sick

John 8:44 http://bible.cc/john/8-44.htm

"You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

There you go with the Jew hatred thing again.slaphead

I don't look at their religions when I look at this conflict.
I'm looking at their behavior.

Why are you looking at their religions?

Thank you, Fanta.flowers flowers

I see people that live in a place called Israel and they just happen to be Jewish. I don't see color or religion in the wars. I look at the behavior.

noway ...I look at the behavior ?...hmmmmmmm...where have I heard that before ?...

I don't know what you mean by that, Gio.

" behavior "...remember...that whole gay marriage and gay rights thing we had going on here a few months ago...my disagreement was about their " behavior "...which I and most Americans found not natural...not normal...at that time my behavior agrument was " unacceptable "...but now..." behavior "...in this instance matters...all different kinds of behaviors are accepted by some...rejected by others...thats the point I was trying to make...by the way...how can you peek at my profile without me knowing ?...I'm curious why it doesn't show...who viewed me...also...ummmmm...just what are you looking for in their ?...lol...gulp !!..

Gio if they are in stealth mode, they can look at your profile and it won’t show up on your end. It’s the electronic equivalent of being a "peeping tom" or "peeping Jane" I guess also.

http://www.time.com/time/2002/jenin/story.html

22 civilian deaths.
23 IDF deaths

The city had been booby trapped by the terrorist with hundreds of pounds of explosives, even though they knew that there was 1300 civilians still in the city.

The Israelis sent in ground troops instead of bombing, because they valued human lives. The terrorists used booby traps, because they don't value human life.

Yahoo news today:

Medical officials said the Palestinian death toll in the offensive Israel began 17 days ago had risen past 900 and included at least 380 civilians. Israel says three Israeli civilians, hit by Hamas rockets, and 10 soldiers have died.

Numbers are meaningless. The Israelis are retaliating to war crimes that have continued for the past 6 months. You cannot compare any number of civilians who are killed on accident to a number of civilians killed intentionally.

Sorry, but those Palestinian civilians should have stopped their schools, hospitals, Mosques and homes from being used to fire rockets into Israel and kicked the terrorists out of their country.

I thought Religion and Politics were to be kept separate ?...OHHHH !!...only sometimes...I see...

If it's supposed to be kept separate why do you have a pic on your profile that I don't understand. It's a pic of a man carrying a sign that says, "Free Palestine is code for kill the Jews".

I don't know anybody that wants anybody killed.

Winx I've always argued that the founding Fathers didn't want to keep religion out of the public square...it's my contention that they held the opposite belief...that any and all religions and Gods should be worshiped in the public square...the line separation of Church and State...if you recall...is NOT in the Constitution...but...Freedom of Relgion is...

THEN EXPLAIN THIS TO ME: What should the Israelis do? They are being attacked and killed every day. They warned Hamas and the Palestinians for SIX FREAKING MONTHS that they would respond. What more could they have done? Under what conditions would you have them protect their own people?

What does this have to do with my question?

TORONTO - Palestinian-Canadians mourning the deaths of more than 200 people Saturday in Gaza are urging Ottawa to send aid in the wake of Israeli air strikes targeting security compounds that have also wounded hundreds of others.

One community leader who represents about 12,000 Palestinian-Canadians in the Mississauga, Ont., area is calling the strikes "genocide ... a Hanukkah gift from the Israeli government."

Nothing, I just want to understand why you feel that Israel doesn't have the right to defend itself.
