bravery..

the mother who looks around her house and sees the stack of bills, the small amount of food, and the lack of hope that she is left with after her husband has walked out.. puts on a smile and turns to her kids and eases their fears.. while putting aside her own.

the solder who goes into battle with the knowledge that he may never make it home, but also the knowledge that he is fighting a much larger battle..

the cancer patient who has been given a terminal diagnosis, and volunteers at the homeless shelter...

the woman who after years of brain washing and abuse.. FINALY manages to gain the courage to walk away.. and never go back..

the rape victom who stands up in court to say put the man who violated her behind bars..

bravery is so many things.. but essentialy it is.. putting aside your own fears.. to ease the fears of others.. and to do what is right..

in which case...
I am NOT brave

sick sick sick

ok ok.... being brave can be a certain specific action, or it can be a culmination of such

Facing your responsibilities, so to all the men that run away after getting a girl pregnant, it was fun doing it so now be a man and love that child.

Admitting when you are wrong, being accountable, responsible, and real.

That's bravery...

to speak one's OWN truth...and not hide behind the skirts of societal 'niceness'.

My definition of being brave right now is dealing with drama. I have always tried to shy away from it. But my higher power seems to feel that I need to learn how to confront it and not walk away from it since he wants me to mature in that area. I am having to learn how not to return fire for fire but try to return to being the peacemaker that I think I am. It is really a challenge for this Aquarius male because I just want to wipe the floor with them.laugh

Stupidity

Is jumping over busses on a dirt bike for thousands of dollars stupid ? or brave ?
Risking your bones for money in my opinion is stupid.
Maybe bravery is the ability to remain calm in a bad situation smokin

bravery is giving her everything, the house, the bank account, the cars, the furniture, while everyone calls u a big fat sucker and she spits in your face. but only u know at the end of the day what really matters is your kids have what they need and u just gotta be a sucker for a while..... alright probably too much information...

hopeless sucker

Courage is doing what has to be done even when you don't think you have a shot not because you are not afraid but because someone else having a chance how ever small it might be is more important than yourself.
