Thats cool Abra. I like that gif. I would speed it up some if thats possible.

This is good if all you're doing it memorizing symbols.

I had it set slow so I could think about the signs, and in particular the seasons that they represent. So I was giving myself time to look at the symbol and think about a lot of different things associated with it.

When I meditate I actually dwell on each symbol (and season) for a while before moving on to the next.

I use these for various different types of meditations and preparations for shamanic journeys so precisely what aspects I envision will depend on what my purpose is for that particular meditation.

But this quick moving GIF would be like flash cards just to memorize the symbols quickly.

Not to belabor the Hitler thing, but when those threads come up I point out that it doesn't matter what Hitler was, he clearly used Christianity to support his bigotry and the religion DOES SUPPORT IT!

Just read the Bible.

The Biblical God hates heathens!

It's crystal clear.

The Biblical God commanded his worshipers to murder all heathens including their wives, and children, and even the entire villages from whence they came.

The Bibical God of Abraham not only condones the murdering of heathens, he DEMANDS IT! The God of Abraham taught that it is the duty of his worshipers to seek out and murder heathens.

And Jesus never revoked that particular commandment. And it was a commandment. Just not one of the top ten handed to Moses.

In fact Jesus said that the not one jot or tittle shall pass from law.

So by that very proclamation Jesus was supporting the murdering of heathens, their wives, children and even the villages where they live!

Hitler was only doing precisely what the God of Abraham had commanded his worshipers to do. The God of Abraham has no choice but to give Hitler the throne next to Jesus.

And all the modern Christians will be sent to hell for disobeying the very God they claim to worship.

That's just the way it is, for the Bible tells us so.

Here are the symbols for the planets.

I use these as a mantra as well.

The symbols represent the following Gods and Goddesses:

Sun - Sol
Mercury
Venus
Earth - Gaia
Moon
Mars
Jupiter
Uranus
Neptune
Pluto

Here's the slower GIF that gives you time to think about associations.

Is Pluto still considered a planet? I thought they decided it wasn’t for some reason. Maybe it’s a dwarf planet. Not that it’s important. I would still consider it a terrestrial planet for the sake of what you are doing here.

It's not a planet anymore, that's about all I know laugh they classified it as something else. You're right, it is considered a "drwarf planet" now.

You're right in terms of Gods and Goddesses scientific definitions are irrelavent.

Besides, a dwarf planet is still a planet right?

I mean, a dwarf human is still a human right? huh

Also, Jupiter really has more in common with a star than with a planet. It almost became a star.

Unlike all the other planets, jupiter puts out more energy than it takes in. So technically it doesn't fit the scientific criteria for a planet either. But then what's in a definition?

Definitions don't change who we are.

You guys are cyber forums geeks.

Ewwwww!

I guess that makes you guys less than human. tongue2

Little forum munchkins.

Yes Abra a dwarf planet is still a planet, its just smaller. Its composed primarily of rock and ice so it does have a terrestrial surface. It also has its own moon. happy

Hi everyone! I just joined this site and I also recently and officially started to proclaim myself as a Pagan, but I still have a lot to learn. I'm still not sure if I want to study only Neo-Paganism or if I should see if becoming a witch is the right path for me. Plus I'm looking to meet new friends with similar interests. ^_^

Welcome! We are all kind of in the same boat. Pagans or interested in "other spiritual paths" whatever that may be. We are all a little different. There are a handful of regulars that post and then people of differing faiths or beliefs will stop in and comment. Sometimes we get some really interesting discussions going.

I myself am most interested in Witchcraft.

Thanks for the welcome. Well its good that you get a good range of varrying faiths and views on this thread and that I'll get to talk to other people in the same boat.
