If you are just starting out with Witchcraft, we recommend this book. It’s okay if you are not interested in Wicca specifically. It’s still an excellent early on acquaintance type book to help you familiarize yourself.

Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner

Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner is Scott Cunningham’s classic introduction to Wicca. This is an essential introduction of how to live life magically, spiritually, and in tune with nature. This book is not only about magick, but also about religion and how to achieve a wholesome relationship with our Earth. Cunningham presents Wicca as it is today: a gentle, Earth-oriented religion dedicated to the Goddess and God. Wicca also includes the author’s Book of Shadows.

Kris, nice to meet you. Not in your area but it's all very informative on here. We can also recommend books and websites for you to check out. And remember, it's always going to be a learning experience. Even the most practiced are still learning... Blessed be flowerforyou

Well in a way that’s true. Abra knows a lot and he takes diligent notes on everything. He’s a good source for these things. He can be an ass though. laugh

so does anyone else here actively try to alter reality?

Do you mean spells?

That's what I mean by not understanding what he means by 'altering reality'.

I've learned how to obtain energy from objects, both living and seemingly inanimate. Would that be considered 'altering reality'?

I don't think of it that way myself. Reality hasn't been 'altered'. It's just a transference of energy that is quite natural actually. It's just that most people aren't aware of how to do it, so they might view it as being 'unnatural'.

If they view it as being 'unnatural' then they might see what I do as 'altering reality' simply because they don't understand reality.

It's just an 'alteration' of what they consider 'reality' to be.

This is why a specific example is almost required before I can say whether or not I can (or have tried) to do that specific thing.

I haven't flown on a broom physically yet. But I have flown on one astrally.

Although I think a lot of people may actually have difficulty doing the latter.

I've also summoned spirits. Although up to this point they have all been alive. If I summon a dead one I'm not sure what owl do with it. Probably bury it or cremate it. bigsmile

I also create my own reality every day, so in that sense I've been 'altering reality' since birth.

do you also levitate after a few drinks? drinks

The empress is the personification of the mother figure. In this picture she is with child. (pregnant) She represents abundance and fertility. Her domain is nature as she is surrounded by the beauty of the forest and animals. She is the earth mother.

I like how the picture in the card matches the colors in Yamin's photo. The same with Krimsa's colors and the colors of the strength card.

In the strength card, the woman is surrounded by her lions. They represent feminine strength by way of persuasion rather than by brute force.

I want to buy that deck when it comes out. Is this the one you are working on right now? I don’t know how to do tarot but the cards are cool. I do have a book on learning to read tarot cards. I just have not read it yet.

No these cards that I am posting are the ones we made for our personal use. Most of them have copyright problems and we can't print and sell them, because we used currently living artists work and don't even know who half of the artists are are.

The deck we are working on is created from all old masters works. They do not have copyright problems so we can use them in printing and selling.

In the book that will come with the deck we will have a page giving tribute to these old masters and we will name each artist who's work is included in the deck. Some of the cards have pieces of work from three to four different artists in the design.

I can't post any of our new designs until we get them finished and copyright protected. My partner would kill me. LOL ~~She is real picky about our designs. They are top secret until we get the deck ready to go.
