Nope. I don't think they'll go for a wideout. The problem is, there are a lot of fans clamoring for them to draft a QB with the first pick. That would be a HUGE mistake because the defense is SO awful.

They need to find at least one good quality pass rusher and at least one offensive lineman.

Backus, Raiola, and Cherilous are at least serviceable. George Foster absolutely HAS to go.

I think Orlovsky will be, if not spectacular, at least decent as a quarterback IF the Lions can draft a decent lineman to help protect him. I mean, if you look at the way he played when he was healthy, and discounting the last game where he was just terrible, he has played pretty well. He doesn't take many sacks, and he doesn't turn the ball over much.

Yes, I know. He was absolutely horrid against the Saints, but everyone has a bad game occasionally.

An offensive lineman in the first round...spend the rest of the draft getting defensive guys.

They need to address the defense, but if they don't address the o-line it's not going to matter. We can't even block the front four, not to mention pick up a blitz. And in order to have a successful offense, you need to have a running game. Kevin Smith has all the potential in the world, but if you can't block for him it's useless. Plus the run sets up the pass, so that will help with keeping pressure off the quarterback. And I totatly agree, Foster is the worse offensive line starter in the NFL. He's a complete waste of time. After that I would start plucking at the D-line and some DB's.

I do with they used the black more in the uniforms. Black helmets with a redesigned logo. More black and silver with a touch of blue. But I guess we'd end up looking too much like the Raiders.
