Preseason Champs Tshirts!!! www.since57.com All fans need these.

As for the 0-16 goes, they will no doubt set the record. Probably the most pathetic team in history. They have a chance to make a big difference in the draft this year. 2 first rounders, a 2nd rounder, and I think 2 3rd rounders. If they would invest in an offensive line and some decent defensive backs we could turn things around fairly quick. Of course we'd have to get rid of Rod and his Tampa 2 scheme. That's not the way Detroit football has ever been. We need to model ourselves a little more like Indy. Decent running game that sets up the long attack downfield to Johnson. Just my 2 cents.

Q? is what will Detroit need the most defense or offense in the draft? & what would you pick if you had that team in the draft in the 1st rd?

Dan Orlovsky is proving himself to be, at the very least, a serviceable quarterback. They have one of the best wide receivers in the league in Calvin Johnson. Kevin Smith is going to develop into a very good running back.

I think, except for another good offensive lineman, they are pretty well set up on offense.

They HAVE to concentrate on the defense. They need to find a couple of good defensive tackles, and they DEFINITELY need help in the defensive backfield.

I think everyone is going to be shouting from the rooftops that they need to draft a quarterback again, but I think they need to concentrate on the defense.

As far as the qb position goes I really have to start asking who is coaching these guys? We've drafted a ton of players that were supose to have all the potential in the world and they fall on their face. Maybe at some point people need to look past the players and ask who's behind the curtain.

The O-line is dreadful. When you can't even get a 3 step drop because you're already trying to avoid being sacked, you have issues. The lack of run blocking is to blame. Most teams know we don't have a great front and they don't need to stack the line with 7 or 8 defenders. When you only have 6 men on the D-line every down it's much harder to complete passes because the safties and linebackers can roam free and take away open space. So yes, the O-line would be my first issue addressed. As it's been said many times. "A great O-line can make a mediocre QB look great." Which is why many QB's fail when they move to new teams.

After the O-line would be atleast 2 corners and hopefully they might be able to pick up a veteran saftey that can lead the defense. And if they can make a move for a good anchor on the D-line that would be great also. There's a lot of dead weight on this team. Most of these guys would barely make the practice squad on any other team.

Well...if you look back at Harrington, Mooch really killed his confidence by ( what a shocker ) trying to make him do things that he wasn't good at. When Harrington was at Oregon, he was a really good down field passer. When he came to Detroit, Mooch decided that Harrington was going to be " West Coast " type of guy. That didn't play to Joey's strengths.

The Lions made a good move in drafting Gosder Cherilous. He has been pretty solid at right tackle. He was one of the few Millen draft picks that has actually been what he was supposed to be.

Unfortunately, the way things look right now, there are not very many real " impact " players in the defensive backfield available in the upcoming draft.

I think Leigh Bodden is just having a really bad year and that he will probably be better next season.

They need one more corner and they need to find a good young safety.

What they REALLY need, more than anything else, is some speed in the defensive backfield. The guys they have right now are so slow that they can't even catch their own shadow.

Can't argue with that. Even Bodden gets beat deep on a regular basis. On top of that none of them have any ability to get in the air and make a play on the ball. 3 basic skills needed to be a DB in the NFL: Speed, Vertical, Hands

A fourth skill that would be incredible would be the ability to make an open field tackle. But that might be asking too much.

I think one of the things that really hurt them was when their starting safety, Gerald Alexander, got injured.

That guy was a serious ball hawk.

Granted, he wouldn't have been able to make up for all of the defensive backfield problems, but he was a big part of the defense.

You do realize after losing 6 games the Colts have now won 8 in a row. They're playing incredibly well. Manning had an 85% completion percentage Wednesday night. I wouldn't doing much laughing, you could be seeing them in the playoffs.

Ummm...Bush is out for the rest of this season. At least the Lions don't have to worry about him...lol

I think it'll be close. Hell...the game with Indy last Sunday was close until the last 9 minutes or so in the 4th.

The Lions have absolutely nothing to lose, and the Saints have nothing to gain since they are eliminated from the playoffs.

Lions 31
Saints 28

Calvin Johnson is going to show just what kind of beast he really is.

I must have miss the Bush report when he went out. Switching to 1st shift has really messed with my tv schedule.

You do realize that if we can't run the ball that CJ won't have an easy time getting the ball. I wouldn't get my hopes up. I still have a really good feeling they won't win a single game. Last week was probably the best they've played all season. Do you really think they can put together 2 decent performances in a row?

i think that if the lions are gonna win a game that it will be this one with the saints....just because the saints have shown that they can play really really bad defense this year

sure Brees is gonna get his numbers (and i hope he does because i have him in the fantasy championships) but i think that the lions KNOW that this is their last chance and REALLY don't want to go down in history as the first 0-16 team

Calvin Johnson will have about 150 yards and i say 2 TDs....he is one of the best recievers in the game and continually gets catches through double-teams and even triple-teams

i am actually gonna go with the upset here

Lions- 31
Saints- 28

it is gonna be whoever gets the ball last and does something with it

They haven't really been " out " of any game other than the Titans game in the last few weeks.

Dan Orlovsky gets better every game. He doesn't turn the ball over.

As long as he keeps playing well, I think the Lions have a good chance.

The Saints have nothing to play for.

CJ doesn't have to have an " easy " time getting the ball. The Colts doubled him almost the whole game last week.

Orlovsky just has to throw it up there and let CJ go get it. CJ proved last week that, even with two defenders on him, it's still a mismatch.

Careful with the sign. Was it last year or the year before when field security chased the guy holding a "Fire Millen" sign around, roughed him up and ejected him from the stadium?

I was happy when a few weeks ago the Lions had their first non-sell-out at home. Ford has no incentive to change as long as he is making money.

Millen is gone but the front office is full of his incompetent stooges.
