Hey JAG, what would you suggest as a (late) X-mas present for a woman you dont particularly like, but feel obligated to get something for?

And while a bomb would be fun, probably not practical.... winking

I'm just being nosy here, so don't mind me, but why do you feel obligated to get her something when you don't like her?

Well damn. There goes my first thought.

I guess it depends on the level of " don't particularly like ".

There are any number of things you could get her. A magazine subscription ( short term...6 months or so ) would be one if you know her address.

Even a scarf or something would suffice as a post Christmas gift.

How about a card wishing her well without any gooey sentiment. I'm not big on "obligatory" gifts...

No. They actually GIVE you the flu to keep you from GETTING the flu.

Of course, I am figuring that you got your flu shot a while ago.

Keep in mind that flu shots are only good against a certain strain of the virus. They basically guess which strain will be the most " popular " ( for lack of a better word ) and vaccinate against that particular strain. If you get another version, the flu might not be as severe, but you aren't at all immune to it.

Well, the "why" of it is because she's my sons mother, and we are at least still civil towards each other, and I don't want my boy to see me snub her, but shes the type that usualy gets what she likes when she wants it, and doesnt talk much about present-y type things she wants or is interested in.

I know I know. terrible that I dont already know her tastes, but even when we were together, buying her presents was a task in and of itself.... Maybe its just that "Guys are bad at presents" thing..
