Definitely, the older I get the more I want to be in a committed relationship. There's something about the thought of growing old and being alone that makes me want to sit in a corner and shiver. :) That's a sad sad sad thought. SKP, Yes, it is sad but true. I just wrote a profile for my mom, who is in her 60's. Here is what put in there: "I am looking for a gentleman who is intelligent, articulate and not inflexible. As we age, we are all aware we become used to things being a certain way. However, I find that can become a barrier to new experiences, opportunities, and romance. I would love to find a partner who is interested in great conversation, new experiences, and genuinely getting to know me, as I am interested in getting to know the right man. " This stands for me too, though. Good luck to your mom!! My dad died about 5 years ago and my mom just remarried the nicest guy. Good things happen to good people! |
