Thats not very romantic at all. I think you would refer to that as being "pragmatic to a fault."

Yep, by my first girlfriend in Atlanta actually. I tried to reconcile, but got burned again. I'm glad I met some really great women afterwards that unscrewed my head!

Has anyone else had the offending couple blame you for ruining innocent lives because you told the other person's family? I admit the way I went about it was wrong, (the offending person will wail about it)but still, they are the ones that ruined people's lives. It's like blaming someone for murder because they told the cops who did it. Geeeeeeez!noway

Cheated on, yes, my fiance cheated with his ex wife while he was with me, I suspected it, but couldn't find a way to get him to admit it, even his family was lying for him, than he slipped up, and cheated with another chick from the college, I knew he had and pointed it out right away, he admitted it, we broke up. We were highschool sweethearts, we got back together later on down the road after his divorce. It was too soon for him i think to be in a relationship with me. He always said I was the one he thought about for years and what it would be like to be with me. I believed him on some level of that because we never did sleep together until we got back together. Being in that relationship with him was my first serious one to be married. Since than, i was with another guy, he blatantly made a pass on my cousin while I was sitting next to him. Yes, it is over. I broke up with him first, I had more balls than he did and he always talked big stuff. But then he wanted me back from guilt or something, and than he broke all contact with me lying about how he gave his phone away and he still had it. My cousin confirmed it a week ago. What-ever. I knew anyways. LOL happy laugh

In the past, yes. Trust once lost is the hardest thing to regain

Yes to an extent. I didn't spread anything around, but her friends found out about it and it went down hill from there. She ended up losing friends. Family? They really liked me, but you know the saying about blood and water.

I have been cheated on a couple of different times... the first one didn't hurt as much because things had started going downhill and the relationship was not the most healthy to begin with... the second time caused some emotional scars, not because of him but because he slept with my friend who was engaged to his best friend - the loss of "friends" in that situation was harder to deal with than the loss of him in my life... and the last time he had just come back to me telling me how much he missed me and wanted me back, etc then proceeded to end things again and later I learned it was because his new gf was pregnant

btw I think forgiving is possible after a time, but retaliation is never a good idea... you should always have more self-respect than to lower yourself to that level
