You do know this is a topic that has been done over and over and over again. One that was left with many differences of opinion and LOTS of arguments. Yeah, but he doesn't know that.... You R right, I didn't know that. I'm just surprised to see so much of it. |

I see a lot of photos, professional photos, of men with their dogs. I find that more disturbing.

People are basically trusting, & don't see the potential problems. I took my pictures offline after someone e mailed me describing how they were using them. Trust me you don't want your child's image out there where anyone can have access to it. Criminals will think of ways to abuse that would never cross your mind.

You do know that a picture of a child is just that right? A picture. A pedophile can get a picture of a child anywhere. Having a picture of your little one up is NOT going to invite any unwanted guess into your home. YOU have the responsibility as a parent to screen each and every individual that walks into your child's life. I REALLY do not think anybody is going to be coming into my computer monitor and attacking anybody that lives in my home. you must be Kidding...... do you realize that any computer connected to the web is a potential target? Unless you are with them 24/7 you are living in a bubble, just 6 months ago I was part of group following a perv. who snatched a child,the kid was taken from a school bus site, sure we called 911, only quick thinking from the group saved the child from the perv., who got the kids pic and details from the kids school website. Needless to say the perv. was quite surprised to be confronted at a stop light by five parents before PD arrived to save him. Yeah we all have an opinion. |

I know everyone is proud of their children, I have two myself, but could someone help me understand why people would put pictures of their kids up on this site? I understand keeping them private and then showing to your friends but why put them in as public? Just curious??  i think it is extremely inappropriate
 and very dangerous for our precious Children

Professional pet and owner portraits is DISTURBING. And not in a sexual way. Ewwwww, that thought made me sick. You are the gutter one if you thought any of us meant that.... geesh. I meant it in terms of poor boundaries and the inability to prioritize. |

Personally, I think it's a very bad idea. And because I don't even believe I have to explain why, it is even more perplexing why someone would do it.....unless, of course, they are very naive. But let's forget for a moment the whole "lurking pedophile" factor. What other reason would a person have to post pictures of their children on a grown-up dating site? It's just....well, I just don't get it.  exactly.....
and truly nothing against people with pets...
some of them are very sweet and nice
but...why people post pictures of their animals is beyond me....
this site is for adult humans
to meet other adult humans
not an invitation including pictures
for everyone online to meet the whole family
including their dogs cats,
pigs, chickens, roosters
or what have you

Thanks for the reply, I apologize for getting heated, talking of pics online got me thinking again of that day, I just wanted to share my experience of what happened to my community, my pictures of my pet had nothing to do with anything.
