Personally, I think it's a very bad idea. And because I don't even believe I have to explain why, it is even more perplexing why someone would do it.....unless, of course, they are very naive. But let's forget for a moment the whole "lurking pedophile" factor. What other reason would a person have to post pictures of their children on a grown-up dating site? It's just....well, I just don't get it. you could say this about you own personal picture as well |

Sorry I know this is off topic, but why are pet photos disturbing? If you don't like pets or might be worried about sharing attention with them, then just pass that member by. Thanks for the reply, I apologize for getting heated, talking of pics online got me thinking again of that day, I just wanted to share my experience of what happened to my community, my pictures of my pet had nothing to do with anything. 
are you apologizing to me too? Yes to all I may have offended, words can always be misconstued, my pic is not first due to the fact if someone wants to check out a profile they can. As in you hired a professional photographer and went to a studio. Come on. |

People are proud of their kids. They want others to know how important their kids are to them. Maybe they want potential dating partners to see what they are getting into when they date a person with kids.
Seeing a picture of a dad or mom with their kids, all smiling and happy, shows a happy family and some people look for that. What's wrong with showing people pictures of those you love and are proud of? If you decide to get involved with a person you may be getting involved with that persons whole life, not just a pretty photo of them standing next to a dirty lake. Let people put photos of what makes them happy. If their photos don't make you happy then find someone else. |

I'm not quite sure what your problem with me is, but I am, same as you, allowed to post what I wish within site rules. I am allowed to differ in my opinion, and state whatever it is. If I don't agree with you, so the heck what? I don't know why you are so insulting or defensive or fearful.... and I don't care. Grow up. And if you don't know who the moderators are, go find out. Ignorance is not a defense. |

I never have, and never will, post descernible pictures of my three children for public consumption on the internet. This has nothing to do with lack of pride, but rather being prudent, private and PROTECTIVE!

PS: Let it be known I have been hired as a professional photographer on occassion...although, none of the pics I have taken of others will ever be posted on an internet dating site - ever!
Guess I should thank my lucky stars I didn't post a pic of me and my best buddy, Captain (my dog), on here, though, huh? 
He really IS photogenic and much more handsome than me. It might help my odds here.
