<~~~ Don't have insurance. But my kids do, which makes me happy. same here but my doctor is yelling at me about it what am i supposed to do Yeah, I have asthma that acts up sometimes and scares me a little more each time it does, because I can't get a perscription for my inhaler. I can affored the meds ($20 at Wal-Mart... hate Wally world but... won't get into THAT), but not the doctor's visit to get the perscription in the first place. I also badly need to see a dentist. Same thing. God alone has kept me from having a bad abscess. Sucks, don't it? |

well, thank you ... but on one side of the spectrum we over qualify for the free or very low cost stuff...
on the other side our small business is one affected by the economy and it's getting very tough for us health care is a luxury |

There is no cure. But..they can be clean and/or sober for the rest of their lives. yes they can winx. and this NATION also could cure the ghetto..cuz face it...aint that one of OUR biggest problems??? the source???? the cause perhaps...lack of ambition, feelings of failure, addiction, inability to find a decent job that is better than selling drugs and living on welfare, being pulled into a downward spiral. idk, Im just brainstorming. the cost of healthcare is obscene, I AGREE. The affordability is ridiculous, and sometimes I am quite sure its a conspiracy between insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies. I will not talk about the docs treating the patients though, because for one thing they are covering their own butt, and tests need to be done, redone, and overchecked. although sometimes when you are so busy, things get overlooked. and sometimes its much easier to just write an order for daily chest xrays. they gotta cover their azzzzzz.......becasue at this point that guy they are trying to save...sure wouldnt mind trying to find a way to get him a lawsuit going on. but. if you want to complain about the price of healthcare, many already have free healthcare. that cost of the ER visit to get their stomach tapped to pull off some fluids. or emergent dialysis. whatever it is. they arent paying for their healthcare....so for the ones that are paying, this makes our costs higher..cuz everybodys gotta make some money somehow. Im not complaining, but I am also not suffering from a chronic disease. how do u figure we decrease the costs of healthcare?? well, we stop needing it as much. well Im in complete agreement with you there. but Im not sure how you intend to keep people outta the ER...make more immediate care places...make sure people are having regular checkups with their doc and taking all prescribed medications. I agree with the fact that people use the ER like a doctors office. BUT i really dont see that changing. if you have free (meaning no out of pocket money spent by yourself)healthcare, well it DOESNT matter. which "office" u use. as for using less invasive things to manage your illness. good luck changing that. potentiol for lawsuit would exist if all AVAILABLE treatments werent implemented. I've used Acute Care a couple of times when my doctor wasn't available and I knew it wasn't worthy of the ER. We have a few of those in my city. It's a lot cheaper then the ER. Maybe they should be building more Acute Cares. |

Well I am lucky I am fully insured, but we also have Urgent Care Clinics and Minute Clinics who are open in the evening hours some until 10pm, saving people from having to go to the ER's - unless of course it's an emergency
fees are income regulated |

The cost is the same for everybody. I do believe that a friend of mine got his broken finger taken care of for $150 there. |

A lot of the pharmacies CVS and Walgreen's have Minute Clinics available most during store hours - which is pretty convenient. |

I empathize with those without insurance, I empathize with those that are unable to afford insurance, I would gladly offer a helping hand, however, when and if I want (meaning my choice) not up to the government to spread my hard earned means. Sorry just my opinion, I don't have much but it's mine, I worked for it, sweat for it and earned it. I pay a ridiculous amount for insurance but I need it so I pay it all the while I do without other things.
There are those who need assistance and others who think they are entitled assistance. OK OK you are now free to attack. |
