Edgy guy, with the completed check list of edgy guy super hero equipment (http://mingle2.com/topic/show/177299?page=17) on the dash of his new Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano... rolls into the parking lot of the club.... the following music blasting from the speakers... pulls up to the valet area just to scope out the hot chicks all dressed up and sexy in the waiting line to get in.... revs his throttle just a bit to make a few turn their heads... smiles out of the side of his face toward one in particular, and she is drawn to the car, the man, the edgy guy behind the wheel...

"Wanna go for a ride?"

...she slides in.....

...being a bit naive, she asks... "is this a Mazda????"

"I don't think so" Edgy guy says... laying rubber with all 620 horses as Angus and the boys kick it in...

<<smokin' Gibson SG riff through a Marshall stack...>>
<<dant dannn, da doo da- da- do dannnn doo>>

Ive been around the world
Ive seen a million girls
Aint one of them god
Well my lady shes god
She stealin' the spotlight
Knocks me off my feet
Shes enough to start a landslide
Just a walkin down the street
Wearing dresses to tight
And looking dynamite
Enough to blow me around
No doubt about it cant live without it

(Chorus)

The girls got rhythm
The girls got rhythm
Shes got the backseat rhythm
The girls got rhythm (aww)

Shes like a lethal brand
Too much for any man
She gives me first degree
She really satisfies me
Love me till I'm lifeless
Aching and sore
Enough to stop a freight train
Or start the third world war
You know I'm losin sleep
But I'm in too deep
Every body needs love
No doubt about it can't live without it

(Repeat Chorus)

You know she moves like sin
And when she lets me in
Its like liquid love
No doubt about it can't live without it

(Repeat Chorus)

You know she really got the rhythm
Shes got the backseat rhythm
Rock n roll rhythm
The girls got rhythm

"I like your car"... she says with a hot baaaaaaaaad girl grin

"Are you... like, Italian or something?"

I know this isn't poem section....but, being that I am the rebel type...I have to put this in here...I think I may have posted it in the poem section at one time??/
==================================================
I wrote this poem awhile back, it is an expression of anger and disgust at those who think they are better than others..so here goes..
====================================================================================================
BROKEN CHAINS
{V1}I noticed my being broken
as I was pulled out of the darkness
back into the life I've missed,
around my neck the chains were chokin'
why're you laughin',you think I'm jokin'
I don't aim at makin' fun of souls that are broken
I'm only hopin'
their hearts are open
so we can help each other
take a step further
away from this depression
so we can start progressin'
as we start reasessin'
the oppression
we put our mind through
that made us come unglued
{C}
Now you hope for broken chains
when you see what remains
of a life gone insane
it doesn't seem so strange
that you would want to change
when you see someone torn apart
and you see their heart
rippin' out
when you hear their desperate shout
and their painful cry in despair
don;t just sit and stare..
{V2}What makes you think
you're so much better than the one
who's down and out,
its because of your posessions
that you haven't learned lifes hard lesson
you think you're living in perfection
you walk around with your protection
but you can't avoid detection
of your stuck up attitude
I watch your empathy elude you
when you knew there was something you could do
but God forbid you get your hands dirty
with someone whos hurtin'
you see the grim reeper lurkin'
as their body starts jerkin'
you see their eyes gettin' murky
because you showed no mercy
{REPEAT C}-
Can anyone hear my crys
as my soul fades away and dies
I'm reachin' out but nothin's there
nothin' but thin air..
Grab me, I'm fallin' fast
the crys you hear will be my last..
{REPEAT C}
Now you hope for broken chains..
==========================================================================================
Some people think they are so above others that they will just keep on walking by, even when someone is dying..and not even call 911..someone getting stabbed or shot, and all they do is run..
kids hurting themselves..or worse, killing them selves...and they told someone they were going to, but the one they said something to took it as a joke..
Perfect example..a 13 year old kid near my town hung himself just a week or two ago..
Stuff like this is the s*hit that I get crazy over..selfish people, who are so self absorbed that all they see is what they want to see, and that is only what will benefit them....I think those are the ones who need a good dose of REALITY CHECK..
In the real world everything isn't going to be pretty all the time..a REAL person knows that they have to accept bad things of the world as true reality..

Only so many hours in one day to entertain one's self here, I suppose. I probably spend too much time fiddling on this site... lol...

Its been entertaining for me lately. meeting some cool people. Learning who NOT to talk to out there... lol... (some very werid people out there in cyberland...)

Wish I had one of them Ferarris... don't know if I'll ever be a "chick picker upper" type, though... ha... more of a one-man woman type... but don't tell the other chicks, I don't want to mess up my "Edgy Guy" persona...

LOL

Not sure the Ferarris is really a "chick picker upper" anyway... Some women look for more substance - just another way we keep you guys wondering "how do women think?" LOL! laugh

I would be the guy that actually DRIVES the Ferrari, instead of leaving it in the garage to lookgood... or parking it in the living room like Ferris Bueller

Edgy is a middle-ground. You aren't needlessly reckless but you're dangerous and that's even when you aren't pushed on occasion. Hmm...it's all subjective.

I tend to think I'm edgy because I don't take any kind of mess and will stand up for myself to a point where hurting someone else does not bother me. So I'm aggressive and don't mind being dominant in a group of males but I don't have to take all of the extra effort of showing off and flaring out my feathers that most men take when they flash weaponry or make an object out of someone smaller and weaker than they are. I won't accept that kind of thing and will meet any challenge but I don't make a bunch of needless hot air to fuel machismo fires.

Bad boys take a lot of time doing things that have publicly known consequences and are often quite obviously wrong on some level which is usually against the law. Nice guys are stereotyped as spindly weaklings with no aptitude when it comes down to taking care of himself or anyone else physically and sheepish as well a goody-two shoes.

For the most part most people are a mix, which makes "Edgy" a common ground for most men. A lot of guys can flex between "bad" and "nice" depending on the occasion because no one is born set in stone. The real question is...who are you trying to impress? If it's a preschool teacher and you think you're "bad" you'll probably leave the leather chaps at home to make a better impression if you go to that person's place of work. If you work a white collar job and go to visit your other at a truck stop or motorcycle bar you'll probably ditch your "nice" suit for something a bit more rugged that'll fit in only to avoid questions whether you think you can fit the "bad" role or not unless you have a real reason not to.

"Edgy" is more flexible and less predictable. The only things that the extreme "bad boy" or "nice guy" have that "Edgy" doesn't is the fact that they resist change and remain consistent so if the person in question is the type who wants to tame someone or bring out the beast in someone that's when those two extremes really shine. "Edgy" is easier to deal with on those levels while more complex on others.

In the end it's what the person in question is looking for that decides the appeal and "Edgy" can fit what you want depending on the guy much easier than finding someone who could be spineless or intolerably arrogant on your search for the perfect balance.

No point in having toys that are "too good to use!" That makes a person sound like a great-great-grandmother talking about the good china or the hand crocheted tablecloth...

USE things you love having or have worked hard for...you can't take it with you anyway! Might as well enjoy it now!
