Our country was founded on the idea of revolution, our forefathers were considered traitors by many and if we had lost the war with England, would have been considered traitors by all. They constructed our government in such a way that it is the right, duty and responsibility of the American people to speak out and act out when they disagree with our government, policies and/or leaders. If that makes me a traitor, then so be it, proud to be one. We also have a little number in our Bill of Rights which gives us ALL the right to free speech. We don't have to agree with each other, that's for sure. But, I DO have the right to express an opinion and if that opinion goes against the government party line, tough. It does not make me a traitor to express my opinion, it is not illegal, immoral or unethical. It is a right given in our Constitution and it is a right that every REAL American should exercise. Attempting to stifle MY right to free speech or to disagree is akin to a dictatorship and I, for one, will not go down without a fight. |

Guess the board mods got tired of banning anyone who isn't a right wing, FOX fan, religious wingnut and when that happened things changed a little. This is a friendly reminder we ask that all forums are keep within a debate style form. We ask you please do not attack other members directly for their opinion. We all have and opinion and it is nice to be able to voice that opinion. But.......when it turns towards attacking that is directed towards another for their opinion yes we do step in. Is that going against your Freedom of Speech? Well I assure you for one this is a private own website therefore the rules of the Site comes first and foremost. As for Freedom of Speech I do challenge you to read the Laws on Freedom of Speech. For each person has the right to voice their opinion but...when you choose to attack another for their opinion you have taken your right away. You see Freedom of Speech has to do with debating within a civil manner other wise you’re allowed to voice your opinion on the subject in hand by given the facts of why you’re against the subject in hand. In no way does Freedom of Speech mean that you can go out and verbally attack another by insulting them for their views on the subject. When one makes the choice to insult, belittle, slander or attack them you have at that time went over the line of what Freedom of Speech stands for. To address the issue about the Mods I assure you all that the Mods Political views have nothing to do with the issues we deal with on these forums. In no way does it honestly matter to any of use if your right wing left wing or in the middle. What matters to us is when any member sees the need to attack other members for their views by calling them out either by name or quoting them. Then they proceed to direct hateful insults toward them this is what we are concerned about. As long as you give you opinion in a civil debate style and sticking to the subject in hand with facts or your opinion then you will never have the issue with dealing with the Mods. Oh come on guys and gals common sense like what Nancy Pelosi stated that when there is more dems elected to the senate and house and they are filibuster proof that there will be more byparitsan polics and they will reach across the more  if they cant even do it now are we supposed to believe it will happen when they have the power to push there agenda and nobody can stop them UH...a large part of the population WAS also behind Bush. DEMS didn't have the guts to say back then what they are saying now...it's an election year after all & they don't mind putting us through thier planned crisis as long as they get thier way...that's "politics," lib style. I can see it now... this constant state of panic they play on America will get old FAST! It's the old commie style...that never changes. Two years of this sore of garbage & lacking in REAL ideas that work will get their butts out..in the words of slick willie....and sooner rather than later. Nonetheless...I really hope I'm the one who will be wrong... |
