The posters on these boards who lean more left have by and large avoided venomous personal attacks while we have seen bunches of that from the right. speaking from the middle, that's not at all so

No matter who wins I can say one thing. The posters on these boards who lean more left have by and large avoided venomous personal attacks while we have seen bunches of that from the right. If McCain wins I fully expect an outbreak of asinine and ugly posts here on these boards. Anyone taking bets? I won't bet against you on this one.

Heck, I got called names for pointing out untruths of someone that I was largely agreeing with.

Heck, I got called names for pointing out untruths of someone that I was largely agreeing with. Someone you were agreeing with? Too funny. Not recently, but awhile back, the Dems. were being viciously attacked. But..the ones doing it were very extreme. I was gone for a couple of months and it seems pretty even now to me.

I can't understand why mods would limit discussion from opposing viewpoints unless it was detrimental to the culture of the board, as in liberals spamming a board dedicated to the right to bear arms or right wingers spamming the Democratic Underground. This board should be neutral territory and open for all viewpoints.

I can't understand why mods would limit discussion from opposing viewpoints unless it was detrimental to the culture of the board, as in liberals spamming a board dedicated to the right to bear arms or right wingers spamming the Democratic Underground. This board should be neutral territory and open for all viewpoints. They don't limit discussion or anybody's viewpoints. They step in when it becomes name calling, racist or abusive.

Oh come on guys and gals common sense like what Nancy Pelosi stated that when there is more dems elected to the senate and house and they are filibuster proof that there will be more byparitsan polics and they will reach across the more if they cant even do it now are we supposed to believe it will happen when they have the power to push there agenda and nobody can stop them If the Democrats win the White House and 60 Senate seats, they had better work with Republicans or their dominance will end in 2010. My hope is that if Obama wins he brings Republicans and independents into his Administration and seeks bi-partisanship immediately. Otherwise, we won't be able to solve the huge problems we face. From your mouth to God's ears... and if DEMS can control thesmelves from falling off the planet with their left wing lunacy that is. If DEMS can bring common snese back I say good for them...or whoever will? I will vote for that person.

Guess the board mods got tired of banning anyone who isn't a right wing, FOX fan, religious wingnut and when that happened things changed a little. Quickstepper is the queen when it comes to hate, finger pointing and repetitive propaganda mongering. I miss seeing her posts here. I need that little dose of comedy in my day. I might have to start watching FOX occasionally if she is going to stop posting. I still lurk,,,but...it seems that a differing point of view in this neighborhood...isn't appreciated or tolerated... You are correct...they start attacking people they don't agree with to avoid dealing with the facts. That's why most of us don't bother to post here. It's a waste of time trying to save some people from THEMSELVES!
