i say do what my mother did and put the kid up for adoption. i mean, why should the child have to suffer for the parents' mistake, ya know?

men: if you're not ready to be a daddy, keep it in your pants

women: keep your legs closed. don't let some horny bastard talk you into giving him your pie. if he tries to rape you, kick his balls

bottom line: be responsible.

Roflmayo.

Rape isnt that cut and dry cutie pie. Theres definitely more to it than ppl being irresponsible although that does factor in.

To be honest, one of the main reasons I'm okay with abortion is te fact that overpopulation is a very real issue. Watch the news sometime in the next fifty years, it'll be poking its head out, I assure you.

THANK YOU SIR.

This is why I disagree with all the aid people give to dying countries, its counterproductive.

indeed it is, but if everyone is responsible, we wouldn't have that problem.

The fact is: Not everyone is responsible, and there will always be people who are stupid, uninformed, raped, drunk, high, horny, broke, or unlucky.

so we should resort to killing unborn children to correct their mistakes?

There's no way to differentiate people who took every precaution available and were simply unlucky from people who are plain stupid, so yes, we should 'resort to killing unborn children' as you so effectively phrased it.

Not so easy to kick them when they attempt rape. I have a few friends that will tell you that. And the woman that my mom worked with...if she was alive she would tell you that too.

if they took every precaution, they would have been abstinent (with the exception of rape, i will concede). that's what i'm trying to iterate here: if you are not ready to have a child, then simply don't have sex.

If you are so damned concern about children please put your money where your mouth is!

You want women to be forced to carry any and all pregnancies through to term? Fine...

Now, man up...

Feed those children, put shoes on their feet, educate them..oh wait...in the United States there are

When you get that right tell me more.

Here...open up your eyes and look at this.

Lee LM, Fleming PL; International Conference on AIDS.
Int Conf AIDS. 2000 Jul 9-14; 13: abstract no. MoPeD2551.

L.M. Lee, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, 1600 Clifton Rd, Mailstop E-47, Atlanta, GA 30333, United States, Tel.: +1 404 639 20 52, Fax: +1 404 639 29 80, E-mail: lgl5@cdc.gov

Background: Between 1980 and 1998, over 50,000 women of reproductive age died of AIDS in the United States. With the loss of the primary caregiver, basic needs of children of women who have died are left unmet. Methods: We assumed no fertility in the year preceding death and adjusted the number of deaths among women aged 15-44 for reporting delays and by lagging calendar time and age of death by 1 year. To calculate the number of motherless children orphaned by AIDS, we applied annual age- and race-specific cumulative fertility and infant mortality rates to the adjusted number of deaths. We assumed a perinatal infection rate of 25% among children born between 1980-1994, and 10% among children born after the 1994 guidelines for use of zidovudine to prevent perinatal transmission. We calculated age of children through 1998. Results: Between 1980-1998 51,473 women died leaving 97,395 orphaned children. Of these 20,717 were HIV-infected, 76,678 uninfected. By 1988 6,458 uninfected children had been orphaned; 7% were 1-5 years old, 15% were 6-10, 21% were 11-15, 21% were 16-20, and 36% were 21+. By 1998 76,678 children were orphaned; 1% were 1-5 years old, 3% were 6-10, 5% were 11-15, 8% were 16-20, and 83% were 21+. In 1998, 4,260 uninfected youth were added to the 8,520 existing orphans under 21. Following increases each year, the number of orphaned children under 21 peaked in 1995 at 8,233. The number orphaned decreased 0.73% from 1995-1996, 38% from 1996-1997, 16% from 1997-1998. Conclusions: Due to recent declines in deaths among women, the annual number of children orphaned by AIDS has declined. Nevertheless each year thousands of youth under 21 are orphaned. While a majority of orphans had aged into adulthood by 1998, they represent the undiminished legacy of the HIV epidemic among women. The methods employed in this analysis are simple and can be replicated in developing countries to underscore the deleterious impact the epidemic has had on children.

This is just a drop in the bucket...please...show me you have it right? Show me you really care about life before you say you are pro-life.
