Ummmm..... I guess you don't get it. Sometimes things are too close to us and we can't see the forest through the trees.

I see no point in continuing this. It's useless.

Now that i think about it, a sentence claiming that people who make assumptions are probably ____, is, itself, an assumption!

^_^

Perhaps you shouldn't make so many assumptions?

Perhaps i shouldn't ^_^

He's not going to listen to anyone. At least you tried to point out the differences.

Thank you..... at least someone sees! Generalizations can be useful when not taken personally, I think. It's the personalization and lack of objectivity that cause assumptions.

But in a way this is sort of fun, you know?

Ah, that's the part i don't get...

"Generalizations" means the same thing a "assumptions" to me...

I'd suggest educating yourself and learning the beauty and wonder of semantics. Really.

The point here is that words and concepts have meaning. Not just what you think they mean. It is vital to understand both, as well as the possibilities of what those words and concepts might mean to others and how they are communicating that understanding.

Back to who not to date. The workaholic who insists they will make time for you, but can never seem to drag himself away from the office.

Ohhh I dated the workaholic. The only benefit is the conferences, if you get to go.

But I love have plans cancelled at the last minute, or having an anniversay turn into a business dinner with strangers. Don't you? laugh

Or, asking if they're free sometime during the week. "Sorry, working on a big project." Then you try and plan something.. "Sorry, need to see what's going on with work." Yeah.. that doesn't last long.

Oh I gotcha..... I hear you completely. There is not much worse than the feeling of being needed rather than wanted.

We need to teach and anti-pvssy class.

I hear that. Men just need guidance. They should stop talking amongst themselves and sac up and listen to the female point of view. God knows we try to do that for them.

Generalized statement..... please don't freak out readers.

what about the attention seeker - the one that makes up b.s. about personal tribulations, asks for help, accepts all the blame but is still right

What about switzerland....

I dated this guy months ago, just one date. Seemed great, funny, we stayed up 'til 2 am chatting. No second date, it was all good. He checks out my profile, I mail him to say hey, he gives me his number...

We chat this afternoon. Mental image: 6'3", hott, hott, hott... Irish, dark hair, broad shoulders, brawny buff, hott, hott...

Whew.............. Okay.

We talk about work, he makes lots of innuendo type comments but refuses to acknowledge them. He tells me to call him later, I say I have plans later.... he says whenever. Fvck, still switzerland.
