Why do you think I have so many elephants? Just something fun and easy to find to collect. Maybe remind you of pleasant days out and about. Then friends/family see you have then and contribute; nice to be thought of don't want to hurt anyones feelings. That's how most collections start. Why do you think you collect them? |

Does anyone have a strange hobby or habit? I have been wondering if mine might seem strange. I collect elephants. Small, large, planters, pictures, etc. I think I have issues. My VP does the same thing. That's not an issue. It's just a collection. No problem with that. |

As long as you have shelves and like dusting, no biggie! I despise, detest, and utterly loathe dusting, it's almost as bad as vacuuming....

I collect cows and anything that has to do with racing. Not just the usual collectible stuff which I have thousands of items but anything what so ever that is related to automobile racing. Like a lot of old tracks that are now closed, I have things from them like bricks from the bathroom walls, pieces of asphalt from the racing surface, jars of dirt from old dirt tracks, nails from old fences, pieces of grandstands, electrical boxes from pit shacks, etc.

Sometimes I dress them up and reenact broadway plays. They like that. They tell me so.

I collect those small die cast aluminum pencil sharpeners. Makes it convenient when you need a pencil sharpened. I had them in dinosaurs, cars and musical instruments. I haven't seen any in a while.
