Saddam Hussein had no direct ties to Al Qaida, says Pentagon study A US military study officially acknowledged for the first time yesterday that Saddam Hussein had no direct ties to al-Qaida, undercutting the Bush administration's central case for war with Iraq. Wary of embarrassing press coverage noting that the new study debunks those claims, the US defence department attempted to bury the release of the report yesterday. The Pentagon's independent auditor released a report last year that chastised an internal military office created by Bush allies for promoting a link between Hussein and al-Qaida despite intelligence showing that none existed. I think its old age coming on, but its hard for me to read when its in all caps and not spaced properly lol. That post, to me, looked like one of those pictures you stare at and a 3D image comes out.

The house and senate who at the time were majority republican were misled by all the fake intel skewed to suit the desire for war by the bush admininstation, its been posted many many times that even our own government and inteligence services have admited this. You can search out the Downing street memos or simply google Iraq lies to confirm what our own government has said for the record on it. Some , and it is your right , can choose to remain deluded on this but the facts point to a predetermined decision to go to war and to twist the facts to serve this end.

Bush has skated on technicalities from the beginning. War crimes, well you have to declare war first, we are not at war with Iraq, it is a "military action". He rode on the implied threat of what Saddam "may be capable of doing" so the possible threat was covered. Etc.... None of which makes him honorable or trustworthy. He utilized the grief of this country over 9/11 to further his personal agenda against Iraq. He traded the perpetrator of 9/11 for Saddam and the weakened Americans bought it, lock stock and barrel at the cost of their children, husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, neices, nephews, etc.... He will make sure he is never charged in the US for any crimes. So this is a mute subject. Hopefully he believes in a god and hopefully that god exists to judge him on his death bed because we will never see judication nor will Iraq.
