Be afraid of terrorists! ....as opposed to NOT being afraid... Be afraid of gay marriage!...why would we make legal a behavior that most sain people know...is NOT natural or normal...would we promote this behavior in our schools ?...it's about right and wrong...what they do in their bedroom is fine with me...but...to make legal a behavior we know in wrong...I say NOT !! Be afraid of godless liberals!...ALWAYS !!...and...FOREVER !!.. thank you for making lynann´s point...

If the far-right establishment allowed McCain to select Joe Lieberman as he wanted, they would have had a formidable "Maverick" ticket and could have made a great case that they could drive bi-partisan cooperation. Not now. If McCain had picked Lieberman...he would have lost the vote of true Consevatives like me...socialy speaking...she's a " perfect "...10 !!! In November, the voters will speak and let us know what they think of the last 8 years of consevatives like you. Come on learner, the true conservatives have been just as angry as the liberals for the last eight years with the true conservatives for an additional eight years. Bush and company are not conservatives in my opinion. True, they're neocons, but didn't the Republicans reject Newt eventually because he was a spending hawk? The biggest reason I'm voting for Obama is that I want the spending of my children and grandchildren's furture earnings on the war machine stopped. Yeah, that is true although I consider Newt to be a fanatic and have little respect for him. As far as your other comments- I agree. |

 I may have been too harsh on Sarah Palin but there is something about her that I dont like.Something about her doesnt seem quite right. I get a "Cheneyish" feeling from her when I see her and listen to her talk.I see a kind of creepy arrogance in her body language and the way she speaks. But maybe the old man(McCain) isnt so bad.

Just as most liberals are as normal as the person next door, so too are most conservatives but it seems that the fringe element from both is represented on these threads and their hatred for anyone that does not walk lock-step with them can make it easier to lump all others with them. Just something to think about.

 Some Christian mother she is I think this is a good example of a Christian "walking the talk" and should be admired, not criticized. Well this is about Bristol's choices more than her mother's but yes Sarah is apparently practicing what she preaches. What I question is this, Why put her daughter in the spotlight at this difficult time? A truly loving mother would not have accepted the nomination. She's sacrificing her child's emotional well being. Sarah Palin is young enough to have more chances to run for higher office. Being the governor's daughter & pregnant was bad enough, but this will be insanity for poor Bristol. What were John McCain & Sarah Palin thinking? I said it would be an interesting fall. pretty much everybody knows I am voting for Obama, no matter what, but I have to stin aand ask this one queston here. What deos the choise(s) of a persons child have to do with wether or not the adult chooses to run for office or not? I am wondering if the child had a choice & if the mother is thinking of her well being. I don't think the pregnancy or the desision on what to do about it are the issues, all all know teenagers. The issue to me is if family values are so important shouldn't family come 1st? This is a minor child living in her home & Sarah Palin should be protecting her from the press not exploiting her. |
