Topic: Mc Cain picks Alaska Governor Palin

So...umm I have a comment and a question.

For some time now McCain's ads have asked again and again if Obama really has the experience to be president.

Then he goes out and picks a first term governor to be his vice-president!

So, in what way are the experience levels of Palin and Obama different?

You may answer that she will only be the veep whereas he will be the president but given McCain's age there is a real possibility that Palin would assume the office if McCain were to sicken or die in office.

That explains why she's a feminist.
laugh She's notlaugh She's a Republican. Being a feminist is more than being a woman. flowerforyou

bigsmile McCain would LOSE republican votes if he picked a feminist.bigsmile

You have a tendency to demonize those who disagree with you. That's sad really. I suppose all Republicans are also racists? Any other slanders you want to use to describe half the nation?
 Republicans love America but hate half the people in it.

I'm truly sorry that you are so blinded by hate. Maybe you are trying to be funny? I don't know, maybe you really believe this stuff. If you truly believe this way, then you might want to see if there are medicines which can reduce the number of delusions you experience.

So, because someone is disagreeing with you, telling them they need medication is the answer? laugh

Did you read his post? He claims that all republicans hate women. It's unfortunate that you are in such a huge rush to disagree with a Republican that you don't bother to find out what his position is. Do you believe that all Republicans hate women? If so, then maybe you and Mirror need the same medication, because that is delusional.

I'm a Republican drinker and I LOVE women!love Woo hoo!
laugh But not their rightsbigsmile

Your comment, as sophomoric as it is, couldn't be farther from the truth. Your hatred of anyone that believes differently than you flies in the face of the compassion you profess. If you have something to say to me say it and we will go toe to toe but if you want to sit there and cry "woe is me" then you will have to go it alone. You are a deep thinker and I have great respect for you. Lately your posts seethe with hatred. I hope you are able to come to terms with whatever is bothering you. flowerforyou

Mirror, you know better, right?

Mirror is correct. When a republican stands for good ole family values it means putting women back in the roles that the good ole family values have had in the past. Women lose on this front.

I believe in "good ole family values" and would love to be a house husband. Hatred for your political opponents blinds you to their humanity and differences. Just because someone believes that a family should be a husband, wife and kids doesn't mean they want women shackled to the stove.

McCain wants to take birth control for women off the insurance lists and put viagra on, what does that tell you about how he cares for women's rights.

And do not tell me about hatred on my part, you have shown plenty of your own on this forum.

flowerforyou I wasnt the first person to say that. Itsa quote from John Stewart. And it seems to be true because Republicans are against half the groups in this country (gays, abortion rights activists,ACLU,PETA,the media, etc.) It just seems like they are against everyone.flowerforyou

Painting a group with a giant brush is the perfect way to demonize and eventually illegalize their beliefs. You and John Stewart learned well from Hitler.
flowerforyou Spider--------bigsmile Im actually refering to the right wing politicians and the pundits.glasses Not individuals like you Spider.glasses Also Im not sure its proper to compare John Stewart to Hitler because he is Jewish.flowerforyou

Only compare half of Hitler. Hitler was half Jewish.

Impotence is a medical issue, which must be treated with medicine. Birth control is used to prevent pregnancies, not to treat a medical issue. The two aren't remotely compatible. It's like you are complaining that McCain wants to offer insurance to cover eye glasses, but he won't allow insurance to cover cigarettes.

I agree with you. That is a silly notion that won't come to pass. As far as putting magic beans on insurance? It's a great recreational drug as a doctor friend calls it. laugh

Democrats could have brought the troops home years ago by cutting off funding for the war. But they didn't so your comment should at least be put in the proper context.

How long have the Democrats controlled Congress now? At what point do you start holding them accountable? Just curious.

Obama screwed himself over. If he would have picked Hillary, then things would be looking good for him. I'm glad that McCain picked Palin. This will get MANY female votes. Especially the feminists. Palin is a feminist by the way. I HATE Obama, so this is SOOOOO good.

Except the fact she is a pro-lifer. The two of them together will eliminate abortion as an option for women if allowed to do so.

The combination is actually a scary one. He chose a woman because alot of his policies are not favorable to women. He would like to end coverage of the birth control pill on insurances and get viagra covered.

really... where'd you get that info? When combining it with the rumored abstinence only sex ed in school you have a recipe for over population, and a major increase in poverty. That is, if it is all in fact true. (Which wouldn't completely surprise me.)

For the Drewid!!

Cutting off spending, excuse me. Who spent our surplus? Why is it that the great people that make up this nation are suffering whenever there is a republican in office. Its called the greedy upper class!!!

Bring our troops home. We are talking about a difinitive time line. You need to read the history books and take a class on comprehension.rofl
