This guy is realistic. You just cant give the government that kind of power, it just will not make the right decisions ALOT of the time . . . it needs to be a personal decision. The government can't decide when an unborn baby shouldn't be killed, but a woman can decide when an unborn baby should be murdered. Shouldn't we err on the side of life? When did we decide that the correct default position is that the mother is always right, even when she wants to kill her baby? whats worse?abort while its an unfeeling fetus or beat it to death when its a born infant...hmmm.I'd rather the desperate women had a choice. what happened to the option of adoption? nothing in life is perfect, and it will never be, since we were removed from Eden. Yet we need to strive to be as close to perfect as possible, and in theend that would mean women accepting the fact that in most cases, yes I said most cases, the woman in question chose to open her legs in the first place, and thus shuold not have the legal right to say, oh it was a mistake, let me abort this child instead of giving them up for adoption. Please forgive my crudeness, but in the end it does boil down mainly to being when the woman needs to exercise her right to choose. |

So your going to keep every drug addict from having sex? Because only drug addicts have unprotected sex, right? Was that what I said spider? Or is that the only place you had to go with that comment? How about explain to me how your going to make someone who is cracked out listen to your moral guiding principles? Couldn't be for a single moment that I was pointing out that desperate people will do desperate things, and that telling them whether through a law or not will not stop them . . . no couldn't be that I was pointing out that someone who defies the law in one regard would find a law against abortion just as much a joke? could it? sigh. Abortions are going to happen, just like pregnancy is going to happen, just like drug abuse is going to happen, you can try to help these people or you can stick your head in the sand and pretend laws are going to make a difference even when hundreds of years of precedence have shown us that laws don't mean jack to p-people willing to break them . . . .. ok, using your line of argumetn here, murders are just going to happen... Rape is just going to happen, along with arson, beatings, mutilatios, grand theft, etc etc etc. I could continue. so lets just say an end to all laws, because no matter how many we institute what we say is illegal is still going to happen no matter what. Very well thought out. |

So you say a child at conception is a human . . . how the hell is that? Is there a brain at conception? Is there a central nervous system at conception? Is there eyes at conception? Do you even know anything about this subject? Does a fetus feed from it's environment? Does a fetus move, or shift position while int he womb? doe a fetus kick, when a lady eats somethign it does nt like? I am sorry, but in my book a fetus is a human. |

murderers on death row are also human, yet no one seems to care about their right to life..animals are also god´s creatures yet I doubt very much that you are a vegetarian..... As long as the "pick and choose" mentality of the anti-choice movement continues in its hipocrasy their tyranical approach to restricting other peoples rights must be fought tooth and nail.... Hypocrisy?  Do you know the definition of the word? I think that no baby should be killed unless it's death will guarantee the life of the mother. I believe that on the grounds that a baby is a human, even if it's not born. Animals: Not human. Criminals: Human. I don't support the execution of criminals, so I think we might agree on that. But if we agree that violent criminals shouldn't be killed, on what moral grounds do you think that innocent babies should be killed? I dont believe any innocent baby should be killed, there is a thread here about a woman who "cooked" her baby in the microwave...I dont believe anyone has the right to take the life of another...I also dont believe that an embryo/fetus is a "human" life...I believe that an abortion is a medical proceedure not murder..I am not blinded or influenced by dogmatic christian scripture..there is no medium here between your beliefs and mine, debate therefore is impossible...so I say to you..if you believe that abortion is wrong then dont have one...that doesnt give you the right to tell me what I can or can not do with my body..again, mind your own business and let me attend to mine....by the way..human beings are animals too.... you want the right to choose what to do withyour body, then make that decision whent he time is knocking at your front door.
