My ex wanted me to change, but his was more of a control thing. That's why he's my ex, lol. You shouldn't have to change for anyone, but I will say that if they were to make suggestions on how to better my life, like maybe quitting a bad habit like smoking (I don't smoke, just using it as an example), or eating healthier, things like that, I don't think I would be offended by them asking that kind of change. |

No one should have to change themselves for anyone.  They should love you for who you are.  Does'nt sound like perfection to me...  {{{LOM}}} (((((((((((((((MsTeddy))))))))))) How you doin' darlin' What did I do now?  I'm over here LMAO at some of these posts! Hope you are enjoying your day!

It depends what they are asking you to change exactly? Is it something that is within your ability to change? Say you smoke cigarettes or weed and they want you to give that up because it’s bad for your health and illegal (in the case of the drug.)
This is one thing. It seems they care about you and want to pursue the relationship and have you around a little longer and not dead, suffering from lung cancer, or in prison. If it’s just a bunch of nonsense and things you can’t change, seeya. |

It depends what they are asking you to change exactly? Is it something that is within your ability to change? Say you smoke cigarettes or weed and they want you to give that up because it’s bad for your health and illegal (in the case of the drug.) This is one thing. It seems they care about you want to pursue the relationship and have you around a little longer and not dead, suffering from lung cancer, or in prison. If it’s just a bunch of nonsense and things you can’t change, seeya. Well..I have friends that lived a certain lifestyle until they married their hubbys..Their way of life isn't hurting anyone..matter of fact it was helping many until their fool hubbys stepped in. |

Yes but my point was I can UNDERSTAND why someone may want you to make a change like that and it may not necessarily be for a bad reason. It could be to actually help and create a better environment or situation for the future. |

I would be willing to change some things. I've never met anyone perfect for me: we would both have to be perfect and that's . . . well, you know. However, if change made the fit better, it's certainly a consideration. Of course, if one were to tell me I HAD to change, that would be the end of that. Change as my choice for a more effective (pleasurable) relationship - fine. Change for you? Probably not.
