i think if the USA, keep helping with other peoples peace problem, with violence, they will keep losing their most valuble people. Young people. They will destroy their lives, mind, and their souls. Maybe the USA, should just give those countries a equal amout of weapons, and let them go at it.

I think we should stop this insane Arabian Expedition and teach the Russians a lesson. Russia is, after all, the reason our military was constructed the way it was over the past 60 years.

We will get involved. We can not let Russia do that. It is against everything we have been agaist for years. We will put on a show of force like usual.

We are forming an opinion and a plan of action, if we even need be, on a news snippet? How about this? We stop wanting to be the world's parent and only act when our help is both needed and requested? In the meantime we can watch what is going on so we are better informed rather than blurting out nonsensical solutions to a problem we know nothing about. Hmmmmmm? Just a thought.

Russia was never a real threat to the US, both sides knew that, and used fear tactics to to their advantage in order to build up their armament... |

The US has 1000 Marines in Georgia. They have been training Georgia forces for some time now. The Pentagon and State Dept are very aware of all that has been going on in Georgia and what is happening now! Of course GWB is busy yucking it up with Putin, Misty May, and Kerry Walsh in Bejing right now! He doesnt want to be bothered by the happenings in a country he has pushed to become a NATO member. The very reason Russia has invaded Georgia. http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/08/08/georgia.ossetia/index.html#cnnSTCVideo |

So you are saying that we should get over there and kick some ass? Start a war? Yeee hawwwww! Let's suit up like Rambo and whoop some booty? I say we stay the heck out of it unless we are asked to help. I am amazed at how your emotions seem to guide your opinion rather than thinking something through, Glenn. You are way too intelligent to let emotions rule the day. You need a break? Come up here and we will go toss some bobbers and cast a few beers. |

Mind your own business... Sorry for the off topic walk in the park. We have been in the case of Argentina. That was one money pit that someone finally put a cork into. They seem to have their own issues to deal with and the IMF as well as the US are no longer known as Argentina's welfare department. Rather than fixing the problems they have which stem from their populist (sans popular)government, they jump in bed with Chavez, their new teat to suck on. Bad milk from a rotten cow. In Argentina there is an old political economy joke about cows: SOCIALISM: You have two cows. The [S]tate takes one and gives it to someone else. COMMUNISM: You have two cows. The State takes both of them; gives you the milk. FASCISM: You have two cows. The State takes both of them and sells you the milk.[2] Then there is the current version of PERONISM: You have two cows. Néstor and Cristina Kirchner take the milk, export it for record-high world commodities prices, and give the farmers whatever money is left over after the Kirchners pay off their political cronies and subsidize their urban-poor political base. If the farmers can't cover their costs, too bad. |

http://www.cnn.com/video/ Bush does speak!! Yeah, but when he does speak I can't understand him. I imagine the guy on SNL impersonating him and find it hard to stop laughing long enough to listen. |
