a doctor does a examination of your bum, doesnt put you on the examaming bed, and just tells you to stand up, bend over, lower your pants and then he opens your butt cheeks wearing no gloves??

Well to see your butt good then yes that is appropriate.. what is NOT appropriate was the he did not have gloves on!
BTW.. I work for a doctor.. rectal exams and such have to be performed this way.. but he ALWAYS wears gloves! |

I had a "Bum" exam this week by a woman doctor she wore a glove.
I guess you could technically say I had sex this week

Well to see your butt good then yes that is appropriate.. what is NOT appropriate was the he did not have gloves on! BTW.. I work for a doctor.. rectal exams and such have to be performed this way.. but he ALWAYS wears gloves! i agree, and on the examining table would be more appropiate. plus he didnt have anyone else in the room. just him and me |

God, Debbie, I hope this is a rhetorical question!!!! no this happened to me yesterday Dear Lord, woman!!! Did this doctor give an explanation as to WHY he was not using gloves? Perhaps there is something that has to be felt that would require them not to be used???? And here, any opposite sex doctor, heck, even same sex doctors, they have a nurse present if for no other reason than to protect themselves from a law suit!! |

If the doctor I work for exams a female one of us has to stay in the room with him... but for males.. we get lost!

Perhaps there is something that has to be felt that would require them not to be used???? no there was no reason he shouldnt have wore gloves, he was just looking externally. also once he did a vaginal swab on me, and he didnt wear gloves or wash his hands after. and the same both occasions there was no one else in the room, when there should be a shaperone. |

That is a normal exam with a gastro Dr. But...there should be a nurse in the room and he, without a doubt, should be wearing gloves. That part is just wrong. |
