The only time I get viewed is when I show my shoes, boots or legs...how superficial is that....If they only knew what they really were missing...It is sad when you lose the one person in your life that you knew loved you unconditionally and then to be thrown to the wolves...

I hear ya! It is tough. But it CAN happen again and it will happen again. You have SOO much to offer someone I can see that by just speaking with you here. You are like me in that you seem to feel things very very deeply. My Mother always called me a "big walking heart". Both a curse AND a blessing. I know your heart has a hole in it.

Girls I relate to both of yah do you think holidays bring it out more. Seems like woflves everywhere lol So I go into my shell allot too. My heart gets hurt out there. And I'm still peeking my head out now and then. I just want to feel safe again

It's horrible, the pain we go through when losing a spouse, but nice to have a place to share our experiences with the folks we know truly understand.

I lost my husband suddenly after a traffic accident, he held on for 4 days in ICU before the injuries overtook his life. We were 19 days short of our first anniversary. We were a couple for 4 yrs prior to marriage.

He was my soulmate, my friend, my lover and my spouse. I know he would want me to go on, so I try. It's all we can do.

The hardest thing is being home alone. I get out, I date, I see friends and family, but I come home to no one and that is hard on good days, horrible on bad days.

I am thankful for all my widow/widower friends, I joined an online group, and several of us are myspace friends, there for support and encouragement.

I look forward to meeting someone in the future, not to take his place, but to enrich each other's lives in the way that two people do. It will be different and unique and that's what makes dating and new relationships interesting and fun. I wish everyone here hope of having that.

I am doing well Don.how about yourself? I was convinced the party was last weekend was it changed or was it this all along?
My husband anniversary is this month on the 28th he will be gone now for 12 years ! I still miss him so much it hurts !!
Anyway I hope your party goes well and you have lots of fun ! Post a picture of you in your apron I want to see that !
