It is a lot better Betty, ty for asking. Been on major pain killers the latter part of the week so....sleeping a lot but pain has subsided.

No, but I hoped that it would. Actually I'd hoped we get our own "board" like games and poems and tv and the like but...


I knew there were several, I just didn't know there were as many. I was afraid however, that some would not want to speak about how things have been for them, on a public board that is not just for widows/ers because others can be so judging at times. I'm glad to see that hasn't been the case.

I hold back saying a lot I find on here for that reason. I belong to a widow/er site where nothing you read would be surprising. Things from what to do with rings, to men AND women sleeping with something of their spouses because it smells like them. My fear was any non widowed person reading something like that would think we were out of our minds.

And sometimes maybe we are out of our minds
But we are entitled to feel anway that we do !

Good point. I have to say that some things I heard or read on widowed sites would have stunned me prior to being widowed myself. I'd mention one thing but I'd be afraid to offend someone with my luck it would apply to someone here.


I go to a place called widownet.org Betty if you ever want to check out such a place. It has bulletin boards for newbies, ones widowed a while like us, young widows of small children, dating again etc.

I have never heard of that before . It sounds pretty good though.
I had a near miss with my dog today . I had them both in the back yard which is fenced in . They were out for a few hours , when I noticed the little one was running around the front yard . I guess the gate blew open. I am so lucky he didn,t run away or get hit by a car. normally I don,t leave them out that long unattended but the man working on my computer was here and I was really preoccupied. I am also lucky the other dog is too fat to get through the part that was opened .
this could have been a very sad day

I have a shihtzu named Sophie and she is my love! She just turned 3.

lol...I wanted to, but I was polite. I can't help what happened and I had just as much control over it than he did. But, I said that was fine by me- who needs the added stress anyway..lol

The small dog is a shi-poo alias a little devil in alittle white body! The big one ..too fat is a golden Retriever . he weighs 105 ilbs my daughter weighs 95 ilbs so when she takes him for a walk and he decides to run she is air born

I don't think we should hold back on saying anything. Our comments may help others in need.
We don't need to explain ourselves to any non-widow/er's. Other's will learn when it is their time.
