"Nothing happens twice the same"
I liked that little pearl from Aslan. What happens with the fashlight that was dropped? I will have to wait for the next one or borrow one of Brittysweet's books. Tiffa, I'm with you about the violence in the last one. I kept thinking about that during the movie. But the moral about intervening only at the last when deceit was gaining the upper hand had a good ring to it. Kinda like collapsing the sea around pharoah's army. Speaks also to our walk of faith. 'God will not cause us to bear more than we are able.' Destroy the bridge you built to widen the gulf. I couldn't help but think the CS Lewis was making a metaphoric reference to the end of the Church Age with that symbolism of the bridge being up ended. 1 Cor, 15:54. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. |

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1. I was telling an AA friend of mine who was ate up with guilt because of her former drug and alcohol use that the best way you can make amends is just not use and drink, today. She was so afraid of taking that next fix or drink like so many are who are new to recovery. She was telling me that she is so proud of her new independency. She told me that she would get so irritated in her marriage because of her alcohol and drug use that her husband had to hold her down and told her that he didn't want to hurt her. Walking after the spirit is different than walking after the flesh. For one thing active alcoholism and drug addiction was our God. Basically we worshipped the wrong God and it was a direct violation of the first commandment for some of us. For others of us it really took what little pride we had and just made us eventually realize that there is more to life than what comes out of a little bottle or a big bottle. It is a spiritual walk that we can have with the god of our understanding. It is more about spiritual progression than spiritual perfection because we had to learn how to crawl before we learned how to walk. I thank the good Lord for my healthy fear of alcohol and drugs, today. I would rather have a fear of the god of my understanding than to live in the thousand forms of fears whether real or imagined. I don't have to fear love today because of the daily reprieve that my higher power gives me. I just say help in the morning and thank you at night. I know the right spirit will hear me because he has been hearing me for over 24 years and he hasn't turned a deaf ear, yet.

Aye I like that quote from Aslan as well. I forget what happens to it...but I'm rereading the books again so I'll see if it says. (lol Britty). So true wouldee on the rest. So many good messages in the books and movies. I especially like a part in the books...I believe its in Prince Caspian when Aslan says that Peter and Susan will not be coming back to Narnia (at least not any time soon)...Aslan says they must learn...I believe Aslan says something like "They must now learn of me in your world." (telling Lucy and Edmond this) Basically saying Susan and Peter need to learn the bible and God. (Actually such wording is used). It lets the kids know who are reading the Chronicles of Narnia that the bible has many wonderful true stories that will help them get to their own Narnia later in life. Hope that made sense |

Good morning all.....and may God's presence be with each and everyone of you as you go through your day today.
Psalm 89:13-17 Mighty is your arm, O Lord Your hand exalted and strong Your righteousness and your justice Are the foundation of your throne Your mercy and loving-kindness Go before your face And blessed are the those who know you Who walk in your favour and grace For in your name they do rejoice Their horn is lifted high For you are the glory of their strength Their righteousness, and their light |

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads
Walk a little slower, Daddy, Said a little child so small. I'm following in your footsteps And I don't want to fall. Sometimes your steps are very fast, Sometimes they are hard to see; So, walk a little slower, Daddy, For you are leading me. Someday when I'm all grown up, You're what I want to be; Then I will have a little child Who'll want to follow me. And I would want to lead just right, And know that I was true; So walk a little slower, Daddy, For I must follow you. Did I ever say thanks for all the toys you mended, games we played, outings to the park, and the way you always tried to cheer me when I was down? Did I ever say thanks for the sacrifices you made so I could be involved in so many enriching activities? Did I ever say thanks for working so hard to provide for our family? Did I ever say thanks for having such faith in me and always being there when I needed you? Most of all, Did I ever say thanks for caring? DAD, I LOVE YOU ~Author Unknown~ |

Good Morning everybody
Happy fathers Day to all you dads. Psalms 4:6-8. There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift up the light of thy countenance upon us. Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. I will both lay me down in peace and sleep : for thou, LORD, only makest me to dwell in safety. |

Afternoon everyone. Psalm 3:3-5 (King James Version) 3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. 4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. 5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me. |

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11-13 |
