Topic: Be careful what you say | |
---|---|
All these years have gone by
Still I have so many whys They say we need to let go of the past But memories of what you did still last Why you treated my mother the way you did That was way to much to take as a small kid All she did was try to love you and make you proud But the beatings, screaming and yelling were so very loud It still haunts me to this day How someone could treat another that way They say you live what you learn Knowing no better now it's my turn Married a man just like you My kids are grown and now they do it too When will the cycle ever end And a new journey to life begin I still carry guilt of what I said that day I hate you, wish you were dead I hope you pay Two days later my father unexpectly passed away I wish I could take back the words I said that day. Life doe not seem fair sometimes, but hurtful words can come back to haunt you.I guess I wrote this in hopes if you need to make amends do it now before it's to late. |

Pam at times words that are said were forced not from the heart. The things your father did was a result of what you
said. No one can blame you for saying those words not even God. You see he understands those words would have never been said if it was not for the actions your Dad took. As far as were does it end it is up to each of us to turn the tables of times and not to let history repeat it's self. If not with us then through our kids if we can. |

(((Pam)))
Sometimes we don't hate someone per se, we only hate what they said or did. Your father WAS responsible for extreme pain and trauma, based on what you have written. By saying what you said, it might have served your father well in that it may have given him an opportunity to look at himself and how he chose to live. You may have done him a big favor on a Spiritual or Soul level! It was not your place or responsibility to make amends IMHO. It was his. |

Right now I'm not missing my father or the men like him that were in my life after him! Finally have been able to take a stand and say NEVER AGAIN!! Thanks for this Pam!! Forgiveness will come in time... I keep begging God to forgive him for the things he did as the wrath of God would be far worse than mine ever could be. I try not to let this bother me but sometimes it creeps up on me and bites me in the butt. |
