No one mentioned a great show that I can't remember the title. Was looking to see if anyone mentioned it. I didn't notice.
It was the one set in a French village during WWII and it's all about the resistance. Full of over done stereotypes and overblown accents. It was very funny. Some episodes of Last of the Summer Wine were great, some I just can't get into. |

The French resistance show is called 'Allo, 'Allo'. Something like that. Like the British version of French people saying hello.

"Allo, 'Allo was so funny. Rene' was always getting caught by his wife when he was trying to get together with one of his wait staff. To get out of it he always had some excuse "You stupid woman, she has something caught in her I and I was helping her get it out"
The resistance was always getting him to do some mission he wanted no part of but did it anyway. Herr Flick of the SS having a garter belt outfit on. Everyone trying to get the painting of the "Fallen Madonna with the big boobies". I never did find out who finally got it, the Germans or the French. The English Airmen hiding in the attic room with his mother-in-law and the radio to contact the Brits coming to rescue them. I haven't seen it since the last time PBS had it on here (the late 80's early 90's). Wish they'd bring it back. |
