The OS is loading or not?
It's look like that your hard drive is dead The question icon in the middle if the screen mean that the Mac can not find the booting system. you need to go to the closer Mac store to replace it and some times they can restore all data from the hard drive |

You can do this steps and find out wich disk has Letter "D" is it CD or DVD drive part of your entire disk or it second disk
Start - Run type comand diskmgmt.msc you will see windows where you can manage all of your disk but be carefull with making any changes if you would have any question ask |

or you can try freeware CentOS its based on RHEL and it have normal support so you can keep your sustem up-to-date i've run CentOS on the servers three year and didint have aby problem with booting updating and drivers for new hardware Also you can tru Ubuntu. Im using it on my laptop On workstation i've used Mandrake. now its named Mandriva |

there is a lot of programs whic can find and delete duplicate files. The searching procees can find duplicate files not only by name and by file size hash sum and file content. Use google or Yahoo or which site you like. Type in search "duplicate file".

It's hard to say wich brand is the best. Most of Parts in the notebooks from diffirient brands is the same. In practice I work a lot of with brands like Asus, Toshiba, Aspire and Fujitsu-Simiens. they got difirient laptops models for all class of work.
