Its moments like these I look towards Independents to hopefully start showing a stronger presence to quiet the left and right to bring things bcak to democracy......

Absolutely. Everyone is arguing Democrat vs. Republican when there is no real difference. What has happened over the course of the years? The same result no matter which of them are in charge. Do some research and find out what the candidates really stand for.

There is NOTHING anti-American about Ron Paul or what he stands for. He is the only one in our current state of "politics" that stands for the Constitution and the freedom that this country was founded on. Don't take anyone's word for it, do your own research, aside from being spoon-fed the nightly news.

Think about it, federal, state, and local income tax all deducted on your pay stub. Not to mention deductions for medicare and social security. Then what you have left, which has all been taxed, you pay property tax, sales tax, tax on all of your utilities, not to mention all other fees (licenses, gas, etc.). Add it up, the government already takes half what you make. We aren't working for ourselves, we are owned by the government.

Vaccine programmes grind to a halt in India once more, when four children died after they received the measles vaccination in Lucknow. The four children were reported to have fainted soon after they were vaccinated and witnesses reported seeing the children's eyes roll back as they began to have seizures. All of the children were under the age of two years of age, with the youngest being just six months. Sadly the children died before medical aid workers could reach them.

As news of the deaths spread, immunization drives in 41 villages have been halted until further investigations have taken place.

The Indian Express stated in their article 4 children die within minutes of vaccination - www.indianexpress.com that-

"The immunisation programme was being conducted as part of the government's Jachha Bachha Suraksha Abhiyan launched on August 15. Minutes after vaccination, the children started gasping for breath."

Campaign rhetoric...I don't think the majority will believe a word from anyone from the next elections in the future. Obama was playing with the peoples' trust and now he's gonna break everything he stood for, hopefully this will be a good lesson for the people never to go with what they say during the campaign season.

A politician should never be taken for their words on the campaign trail. They should be decided upon based on their voting record, and stance on issues, before they were seeking a higher office. Unfortunately, too many people listen to the rhetoric, instead of digging deeper, to see if a candidate really stands for what most closely resembles the stance of the individual voter (with no regard for popular opinion). More often than not, a politicians campaign speech does not match his or her past statements, or voting record.

Do I really need to explain that I was being sarcastic?? There is nothing racist about disagreeing with Obama's policies, but people who do so are consistently branded as such. I don't agree with Rush, Bush, or Obama. I just find it laughable that the same people who attack Bush with pointed name calling, call anyone who respectfully disagrees with Obama a racist. I read through alot of threads here, not just this one, and it is consistent.

Just did you fail English too? It wasn't an insult because he/she didn't agree with it....they said they didn't understand it. It was direct and to the point unlike the King James Bible and all of the "well he could have said this but sounded like that" fairy tales.

In another thread you said to pass out birth control where it is needed, like Catholic churches. There was nothing religion related in either thread. Why don't you spout your religious intolerance and hatred elsewhere?

How silly of me to have forgotten, call Bush an idiot, moron, ruiner of the country, and you are excersizing free speach. Disagree with Obama's socialist agenda, and you are racist.

The answer isn't to create more laws, but to hold those accountable that
"dropped the ball".

I agree that not just anyone should be able to buy agun, there are
background checks. There should be testing. You have to be licensed and
go to training to carry a concealed weopon in Ohio.
