And Guantanamo is still open.

I don't think Obama really thought it through before signing the executive order to close it.

Maybe he should have gone through the process of figuring out how to and what to do with the detainee's first.

Is there any of the Obama talk got at least partially fulfilled? Nope.

Campaign rhetoric...I don't think the majority will believe a word from anyone from the next elections in the future. Obama was playing with the peoples' trust and now he's gonna break everything he stood for, hopefully this will be a good lesson for the people never to go with what they say during the campaign season.

this is really typical of obama's behavior.

he promises but can't deliver, or has no pre-planned, workable strategy for carrying out the provisions of the speeches and promises he makes.

Bush and Cheney have nothing to do with the OP!

I guess that it's ok that he signed the order and it wasn't done.

Just like the stimulas oh I mean recovery act. Supposed to keed unemployment under 8%.

Not getting anywhere on his main issue healthcare.

I kinda see a pattern forming.

A politician should never be taken for their words on the campaign trail. They should be decided upon based on their voting record, and stance on issues, before they were seeking a higher office. Unfortunately, too many people listen to the rhetoric, instead of digging deeper, to see if a candidate really stands for what most closely resembles the stance of the individual voter (with no regard for popular opinion). More often than not, a politicians campaign speech does not match his or her past statements, or voting record.

They said the Stimulas would keep unemployment under 8% did they not?
It's at 10%. Now they are talking about another one but calling it a jobs bill. Less than a 3rd of the first one hasn't been speent yet.

Guantanamo is still open OVER 1 YEAR AFTER Obama signed an EXECUTIVE ORDER to close it one year from Jan 22, 2009!

Nothing got accomplished with healthcare.

It just seems like a pattern forming that what this administration is trying isn't working with the facts we have(not WHAT IF'S)

It's tough to get things done when everywhere you turn your political 'opponents' are busy slandering you as a person, and throwing largely meaningless mud whilst moving to block every effort for change you bring.

He got -some- healthcare through. That's incredible given the childish, malignant and frankly quite offensive natures of the opposition.

Now, having run out of personal slants to stop him getting his measures through, you'll turn to pointing out that he -can't- be a good leader, because he hasn't got some of his measures completely through? Give me a break.

That is totally absurd. Maybe you should focus a little more on the fact that the Democrats, with huge majorities, couldn't get the job done. I'm tired of hearing people complaining about Republican obstruction when its totally meaningless. The Democrats couldn't agree.. That is the problem. Obstruction within their ranks.... Everything wrong with American government was on public display... and the Democrats have no one to blame but themselves..

Democrats just don't get angry enough to steam-roll their policy through eh?

Cutting sarcasm aside, I'll have to agree with you - they're not helping themselves - each of them has an idea of what would be 'best' for the country and they debate it endlessly. I'd still rather see that than meaningless, popularist mud-flinging though.

Well, I think signing an ORDER completes his part of the promise. He cant promise what OTHERS will do or how long they will take.

AS to OBamas successes and failures so far,, please refer to,,,www.politifact.com

He has ACTUALLY done quite a bit in his 382 day presidential role(presidents dont pass bills,,,,they can only implement them and wait for congress and senate to do their part

He signed an order to have it closed. And it's not!
Maybe he should have done some more research into what needed to happen in order for it to be closed. I know he didn't make the decision himself. He has advisors to help him with theses issues.
I guess what I'm trying to say is he signed the order, and it supposedly made the US look better in the worlds eyes.
What are they thinking now that what he ORDERED didn't get done?
Do people not have to follow his orders?
I think that makes him look like weaker leader when his orders don't get followed.

I think he definitely needs to revisit the issue, but I hope the world sees the OPPOSITION he has faced in achieving his promises since he came into office. HE will not accomplish any of it without cooperation from others. Of course, the christmas day thing, for me, causes an interruption of plans as well and was not something he could have known or planned for.

Gitmo has turned into a partisan political issue. Republicans have opposed it's closing and created a political issue out of it. They continue to drum up FEAR in Americans and attack the President as being weak on national security.

Personally, I am not afraid and don't buy into these fear tactics.

Obama hasn't done anything. Look around you, read the news..go shop whatever..It's not like there is a new president whatsoever. Here is where i get off from the republican train, because I don't like them either.

Obama = Bush

There is really no difference whatsoever. He extended the war and created a much worse political environment actually. His "peace prize" is a giant joke if you consider that.

If you fail to notice how the same Obama just like Bush, I don't know what to tell you, because instead of reading the biased news, just look around and draw your own conclusions.

Beside the dreaded health care thing, there is absolutely nothing makes Obama different than Bush. The whole political offense between the 2 parties is nothing but a giant circus for the public, since everything else is going the same way it was under Bush.

Bush agreed for the bailouts - So did Obama
Bush wanted the wars going on - So does Obama
Bush was threatening Iran with war - So does Obama
Bush created a giant debt - Obama continues to do so
Bush relied on money borrowed from China - So does Obama
Bush hasn't done a damn thing in the face of crisis - Neither Obama

If you think somehow that democrats are different types than republicans, then you might want to consider the facts, that the Congress has been Dem majority since 2006 , That's 4 years now and absolutely nothing changed.

Different color, different rhetoric same BS.

False. The obama stimulus, like the Bush stimulus, created more debt-not capital-that will have to be paid back in the future. It's akin to giving a heroin addict more heroin when he really needs to detox and get better.

Obama should have simply vetoed the stimulus and allowed market forces to work as they always have before. Now we're stuck with a double dip recession (and a depression if foreigners quit buying Treasury bonds).

I don't believe this . if he had not gave all the tax money to the rich he could have got everybody that wanted to back to work . If you listen closely to what he is saying you well hear a lot of racism coming from him . tarting with the Gates affair and continuing threw his state of the union speech .

comical spin on truth,,,some differences, besides IQ and lifetime productivity,,,

Top Ten Differences Between Bush & Obama First 7 Months

Obama, unlike Bush:

1. Has no plans to invade any new oil countries.
2. Knows who president of Pakistan is
3. Knows how to safely consume pretzels
4. Does not take orders from his veep
5. Not on vacation 40% of time
6. Clears away Bush's harm, rather than clearing brush on farm
7. Worried about 47 million uninsured, not about 47 thousand idle rich multi-millionaires
8. Not removing oversight from bankers on theory that financiers would never steal from own bank!
9. does not believe US menaced by Gog and Magog
10. Not ignoring threat of al-Qaeda
