i was curious if i wear a wetsuit when going scuba-diving should i wear a swimsuit or just my clothes just curious,,,

You should be able to answer this yourself ... a wetsuit is the opposite
of a drysuit. A drysuit is impervious to water. A wetsuit allows water to
permeate the suit, thus a thin layer of water is "trapped" between your
body and the suit, whereby your body "heats" that thin layer of water.

It is recommended that you wear a swimsuit - you'd most likely be too
uncomfortable wearing street clothes under a wetsuit, plus those clothes
would become soaked, immediately, so you'd have to have a 2nd set.

This is a dup post ... the moderator ought to lock it down.

It's a belief in scripture.

biggrin redheads certainly do have other striking traits....
like mean miserable tempers when they get mad...drool

I know a number of "non-redheads" who are wickedly vicious.
And oddly enough, the redheads I know aren't temperamental,
as the ol' myth goes ... I will say, they're pretty passionate.
(my experience, that is).

sorry that happened to you ... may I suggest a Mac? flowerforyou

Agreed. my laptop is a MacBook Pro ... my desktops all run [SuSE] Linux.
I am completely free (and have been for years) of the M$ stranglehold.

(However, for development work I *have* to do on Winblows, I use
VirtualBox (running under OSX or a Linux distro) to run eXPensive).

Is there anyway to change the login sound to something different?

Menu -> Control Center -> Hardware -> Sound, Sounds tab,
under Desktop -> Login ... click on Default, then select Custom
from the pop-up menu, finally, choose a sound file.

Some people find it annoying, literalistic, pedantic to be reminded "Linux is just the kernel" but it is so very true, and this fact keeps coming up in questions like this.

Linux is the kernel proper. GNU/Linux is the kernel + GNU utilities.
A "distro" (distribution) is GNU/Linux + other utilities + software.

So the answer of course is 'no', there is no one utility which will work on
all linux based distributions the way that msconfig works on windows.

Yes there is ... it's called WebMin

Edit 2: I've heard a lot about YAST, and wondered if this was the answer to your question. After looking it up, I'm still not certain, but it might interest you:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yet_another_Setup_Tool

YAST was a proprietary setup tool developed by SuSE (I've been using
SuSE since it's first release (4.2) in 1996), which was released with
SuSE's first release - it was proprietary in nature, giving SuSE a slight
edge over other distros. It's now available under the GPL license.

WebMin is the better choice, until such time that YAST is made available
across the board for [most] all distros.

I am just so used to using it in Windows and wondering if Linux has an equivalency.

The closest thing would be WebMin, which is available for just about
any Unix, FreeBSD, or Linux distro: http://www.webmin.com/

It's a web-based admin tool. For whichever distro you're using,
check its software library for WebMin before downloading from
the WebMin website. It supports 80+ distros.

(FWIW, I'm an author for a Linux book and have been using
Linux since the very first version of Slackware - 1993? and
before that Yggdrasil Linux).

Well from what I'm getting..they don't think I'm real.

If they ask if you're real, just respond telling them
to come out and check out this discussion thread :)

Is there a new pen pal scam going around? I got this strange email today from someone, it seems a bit scamy, but all they ask for is to be a pen pal. I'm thinking it's to verify they got a real email address then they start asking for money or something.

Yep - looking for valid email. That's why i *love* gmail. I have
never gotten any junk-mail in my inbox, except on very rare
occasions - I'd say I've seen 3 junk emails in the last year.
All the other email services have been horrendous.

Speaking of, this morning, I log into my IM and two events
occurred: (1) I got a buddy-pounce (from a user I've never
heard of), (2) I got an "invite", asking for confirmation
to "add a buddy" - I've no idea who it was - the IM name
was not familiar to me - so of course, I denied the request.

Looks like you got the email chain letter ...

Eating pork can also lead to gallstones and obesity, probably due to its high cholesterol and saturated fat content.

"Today's pig yields a pork loin with 77% less fat - and 53% fewer calories"

One in six people in the US and Canada has trichinosis from eating trichina worms, which are found in pork.

Only three Trichinella species are known to cause Trichinosis: T. spiralis, T. nativa, and T. britovi.[1] The *FEW* cases in the United States are mostly the result of eating *undercooked* game, bear meat, or home-reared pigs.

If you pour Coke (yes, the soda) on a slab of pork, and wait a little while, you will see worms crawl out of it.

That's a myth ... what you're seeing is fat "rising" to the surface.

BTW - I'm a pescetarian, so don't accuse me of supporting the
eating of pork, I'm just debunking much of what you posted.

Have you ever just come to the conclusion that you just want to chuck it all and give up? Have you ever felt lonely in a room full of people? Maybe no matter how many friends you have...you still feel alone? Sorry, I am just having one of those days.

You're not alone ... all of us have been in your shoes more
than enough times to count. Life's a roller-coaster, as they
say. Have any outdoor activities you enjoy, something you
haven't done in a while? Grab and friend and go to it.

If all else fails, go to the local ice cream shop and get a
double scoop - everyone is happy in an ice cream shop :)

Ummm - you mean you don't know how to change your profile's Heading?

You might have a more difficult time with the woman than you anticipated :)

was cheating on you would you want to know?

Absolutely!! And *most* especially if it's an on-going thing,
versus a "one time cheat". The point is, if a person is cheating,
they aren't being fair to the main relationship.

I guess the one exception would be if the two people in the
main relationship have made it clear to each other they can see
other people, i.e. - the two are having a "casual" relationship.
(I'm stating the obvious).
