I make it much easier. If it fits in my hand without spilling out all over the place, it's the right size.

bigsmile

But that depends on the size of your hand. bigsmile

That's just it ... it's a very subjective thing, at least for a guy

One member of the Detroit City council said the only difference between Detroit and most third world countries is that we (Detroit) don't have goats wandering the streets.

Perhaps not, but there are some people in the streets there who smell worse than goats! ill

Yes, they do. Here's just one example:

A 14-year-old girl named Bernadette Whelan died of heart faiure on May 30, 1974, four days after collapsing at a concert held by David Cassidy at London's White City Stadium. Six hundred and fifty were injured, and 30 taken to the hospital. The shaken Cassidy brought Whelan a bouquet of flowers as she lie unconscious in the hospital, and sent her parents a letter of regret. When she died, he was so rattled, he quit both touring and The Partridge Family, and took a 3-year sabbatical. Whelan's death was a turning point in his career, and he's never forgotten her.

So yes, it does happen.

So much so that he is now doing a major gig in Vegas....

... and your point is? The guy showed compassion for his fans to the tune of a 3-year sabbatical, but that's not good enough for you? What did you want him to do, shut down the rest of his life? We all need to move on and live our lives at some point, and I think the fact that DC showed the kind of caring that he did should be credited to him.

#??

“Some US embassies worldwide are being advised to purchase massive amounts of local currencies,” writes Harry Schultz, “enough to last them a year.” Schultz publishes the Harry Schultz Letter, an international investment, financial, economic, and geopolitical newsletter named as “Newsletter of the Year” by Peter Brimelow of Market Watch in 2005 and 2008.

In fact we are headed for a implosion of the value of the dollar. China and Russia have made an agreement to dump dollars in favor of each others currency.

Gee, ya think? It's not as if our government is just printing as much money as it feels like, whenever it feels like ... oh, wait

This is another travesty for America. Brace yourselves, you ain't gonna know what hit you in the coming months....

What's worse is, a lot of them won't be able to figure out WHY it hit them ... they thought they were voting for folks who were going to fix everything! If it weren't for the fact that it affects me, too, I'd be amused by them ... but instead frustrated frustrated frustrated

Oh, and has anyone ever noticed how the "experts" are always "shocked" by whatever the financial indicators news of the day is? I'd like to know how I can get a job as an "expert" where I get to be wrong so much ... anyone got a lead on those jobs?

The reality is that for far too long our government has spent taxpayer's monies on programs, the overwhelming majority of which we don't even need and that we can't pay for except by raising the deficit.

What is somewhat misleading to the non political junkie is this business about a filibuster proof majority. Yes, it is a filibuster proof majority if all 60 Democrats(really 58 + 2 Independents) stick together. This is one huge IF.

Well, one of the Independents is a self-proclaimed Socialist (Bernie Sanders - VT), so he will undoubtedly be with the Dems ... plus, there are way too many "RINOs" in the Senate, such as Collins and Snowe from Maine (just to name two), who are always willing to go against their party ... so I'd say it's a pretty uphill battle at this point if you don't want to see the radically liberal Democrat agenda win.

This could be an interesting post if we stay on topic.
How close this election was, is and intication of how evenly divided our nation is on political issues.
If the democrats push through too much with the filibustor proof majority it could backfire.
If the independents and one or two conservative Dems. side with the Reps. and block legislation, that could hurt the other side of the aisle.
It could be a very interesting couple of years in DC

I think what's really interesting about it to me is all those votes they "found" AFTER the election was over that went so amazingly coincidentally for Franken ... I mean, the percentages were UNBELIEVABLE ... literally! explode

 I watch FAUXNEWS for the laughs but its frightening to think of all the guillible people that take that channel seriouslyscared

I don't take ANY news station seriously, be they cable, local, whatever. They're a bunch of talking heads who don't know their a$$es from a bunch of holes in the ground. Every time I hear about a poll that asked "Which news anchor do you trust the most?", I just wanna freakin' puke! NONE OF THEM are "trustworthy"!!!

OOhh OOhh Mr. Kotter. Maybe this is the route to go.

I want a man that knows how to use my tools. Is not afraid. Can hold heavy objects and look pretty. One that will watch football and at the same time let me hold the remote. A fella that will go to a football game on occasion. Owns his own cowboy hat and has several pairs of chaps. drool

I can use basic tools, can lift somewhat heavy objects, and I  football! However, if the Eagles are playing, I can't let you have the remote. I also don't own any cowboy hats or chaps. indifferent

Sorry Beans, Earthytaurus post reminded me of one more...

it is times like this and only this..that I really need a man..frustrated

Do you have any male friends that would be willing to go with you? Last year, I went with a female friend when she wanted to buy a new car, because so many car salesmen think they can take advantage of a woman's perceived lack of knowledge about cars. Fortunately, the one she ended up buying from couldn't have been more the antithesis of what you generally hear about car salesmen, but you just never know ...

Anyway, I imagine it'd probably work the same way with mechanics, especially if you have a guy friend who knows enough about cars to talk with the mechanic intelligently.

I'd say they are all recent enough. I feel badly having something posted that is a year old but I like the pic! tongue2

Is there a serious issue of people posting old pix? How deceptive! rant

Shouldn't we update them weekly or monthly to represent ourselves accurately? I would be so embarrassed to meet someone and have them say, "Your pix are not current" .... or someting like that. slaphead

Wow ... I don't know about everyone else, but I just don't have cause to have pictures taken of myself that often at all!
