state of pathetic affairs

Yep, charity SHOULD start at home. If we take care of our own first we
will be better equipt to handle anything else. More people might be a bit more patriotic if some of the media could report some good news for a change. For each child who becomes ill or dies, hundreds are saved. Where are those stores these days? Verb |

Hello Group Users (uh, members),
I have seen quite a few folks saying that they are having no luck in meeting someone here for more than friends. It seems that just trying out the dating portion of any site makes folks a bit leery about jumping right into meeting someone. I can agree with that as it can be a scary and BIG world out there these days. When beginning to come back to a site like this one and wanting to meet people, there is one piece of advice to bear in mind. Post, post, post. Someone will see your posts, look at your pic and profile, read what you have to say and come to some conclusion as to whether... 1 - They either like you or not. 2 - They think you are smart or dumb. 3 - They have some respect for you or think you are nosy. 4 - They would like to be your friend, or NOT. 5 - They would like to connect with you on another level. Visibility is what it is all about. BE VISIBLE. Make sure you put your best foot forward but do not deceive. Be yourself and your sense of humor, your sage advice, your poking your nose in (some good places and some bad places) can be helpful too. Think about what you write and how it will look to others but do not be shy. Your words are what will draw folks to you or send them away shaking their heads with "what was she/he THINKING?" So do be kind and gentle but BE YOURSELF. Don't be intrusive but do be inclusive. That is my best old lady advice and instead of typing it out in a gazillion threads, I thought I would just POST the darn words here before my fingers go numb... Have a great day all, Verb |

I had it last year for a short time, only a day or two. TSR's tend to
slow my system down so got rid of it. I don't know why I intalled it in the first place! lol. I work online a lot so am here more than the usual online person. Lots of research and such. I decided to get rid of it for the very reasons it was discovered to have a vulnerability. I wish the new ie did not have that little box in my tray too. Have been trying to figure out how to get rid of the search box. Anyone have a clue on that one? When I am designing I usually turn off ie and make it inaccessable to outside communication but it is starting to be a hassle to do that everyday or two. lol. Verb |

I have an account there but do not go there anymore. I got the
