Hello Group Users (uh, members),
I have seen quite a few folks saying that they are having no luck in meeting someone here for more than friends. It seems that just trying out the dating portion of any site makes folks a bit leery about jumping right into meeting someone. I can agree with that as it can be a scary and BIG world out there these days. When beginning to come back to a site like this one and wanting to meet people, there is one piece of advice to bear in mind. Post, post, post. Someone will see your posts, look at your pic and profile, read what you have to say and come to some conclusion as to whether... 1 - They either like you or not. 2 - They think you are smart or dumb. 3 - They have some respect for you or think you are nosy. 4 - They would like to be your friend, or NOT. 5 - They would like to connect with you on another level. Visibility is what it is all about. BE VISIBLE. Make sure you put your best foot forward but do not deceive. Be yourself and your sense of humor, your sage advice, your poking your nose in (some good places and some bad places) can be helpful too. Think about what you write and how it will look to others but do not be shy. Your words are what will draw folks to you or send them away shaking their heads with "what was she/he THINKING?" So do be kind and gentle but BE YOURSELF. Don't be intrusive but do be inclusive. That is my best old lady advice and instead of typing it out in a gazillion threads, I thought I would just POST the darn words here before my fingers go numb... Have a great day all, Verb |

do it. |

You are so right, verb! My problem is that I get noticed by guys who
live in Montana or somewhere who want to have sex in the snow. |
