No this isnt a rant, or a self pity post. This is just me, a guy, being honest. According to most females, they appreciate honesty...so maybe they'll appreciate this.

Im sure many of us feel like giving up sometimes on love. Love is, to me, the greatest feeling ever. To love someone, to know you have a lover, to be with them, to embrace them, to get a phone call from them or a cute text message from them. We all enjoy it, dont we? Unfortunately the world we live in isnt so perfect, and at this age, many people just want to screw around. Unfortunately in the process, those people screw around with people who are seriously looking for a real boyfriend or girlfriend.

Many of us have gone on date after date, only to realize that truelly great lovers, are hard to find. Close to extinct even! You talk to someone online who seems so great, then meet them and realize they are a huge jerk. Or maybe they seem great after a few weeks, and then break your heart after they meet a hotter girl, or get bored with you, have a little argument or just realize they arent ready for a relationship. Its tough, I know. This isnt like our parents days or grandparents days where they met at a bar, talked for an hour and got married within a month, lol....AND, lasted over 60 years. Our society is materialistic, we always want something different, something new, better, hotter, taller, skinnier, richer, etc.

We arent happy with a 1999 Toyota Corolla, we HAVE TO have a new Honda or Volkswagen. We arent happy with a nice little apartment that costs $1000 a month, we HAVE TO get the luxurious apartment that costs over $2000. If we dont go out on friday night with our boys or girls, we are miserable. We have to go out and party all the time just to be happy, we cant possibly be happy by just staying home and enjoying a few movies on the couch and saving money for once. We work 50-60 hours a week because we cant stop spending our money. Some girls arent happy with their boyfriend unless hes tall and skinny, and takes her out all the time and gets in loads of debt in the process, and maybe even spoils her. Some guys arent happy unless his girlfriend has a big chest and gives 5 times a day. (Not everyone, but many people). No girl should have to go on a crash diet to get a guy, nor should she pay 30K for implants to get a guy. No guy should have to get 16 inch arms, or spend 30K to grow 5 inches to get a girl.

I guess I was raised differently. I was raised by a European family with zero divorces whatsoever. A family where both sides of grandparents, my own parents, and uncles/aunts have been together their whole lives (since 18 even!)...yet nowadays people cant stay married for 10 years without having problems. Have we forgotten what real relationships entail? Do you honestly expect a real relationship to be full of fun and lively-ness 24-7? Do you expect your bf to be skinny forever? Do you expect your gf to be capable of sex 5 times a day forever? Do you expect to never argue or be bored?

I was raised to look at a girl for whats inside of her, not outside. Ive always been different than others. Im not the party type, the drunk wild type, the fighter/tough guy type, the jerk type, the cheater type. Ive never been like many people who get peer pressured into things simply because they feel that if they DONT do it, their friends wont accept them. If my friends want to go to a party and I dont want to go, I simply say "no thanks" and stay home watching SNL, Jeff Dunham, Lewis Black, Daily Show, football, Larry the Cable Guy, Pink Panther (ick, the list goes on). Maybe even cook dinner, or invite a friend over to watch movies all night, or go to TGI Fridays or Georgetown, who knows. I have no problem enjoying a night to myself. God knows in 15 years, I may not see these people anymore, so why let them dictate your life? You meet a great guy, and your 'friends' dont approve of him so you reject him....why? Why let them dictate your life when, by the time your 40, theyll probably be long gone?

We seem to forget our values, morals, beliefs, character when we are out having fun. I used to be into those scenes, and yes, I totally forgot my morals and values. But thankfully Im well over it, and now I stick to my beliefs and values. If my friends dont like it, then they arent true friends, are they? A true friend would accept that, and NOT push you into something you dont want to do. Just like a true lover, wont control you or forbid you of something. A true lover would trust you. Have we forgotten the meaning of "trust"? I too cant stand the party scene anymore, but If im dating a girl, I cant forbid her to go to a party. Instead I trust her, that she wont cheat on me. IF she cheats, then she isnt worth it, is she? Do you want to date a cheater?

Unfortunately many people are so insecure, so depressed, so shy, so scared...is it their faults? Not necessarily. Maybe a guy gains weight from depression, or maybe a girl cuts her wrists because shes depressed and insecure. Maybe you cant find someone because you're so shy and scared. Im sure we all know people like this. Who can blame them? The society we live in, everyone has to be a certain way, act a certain way, dress a certain way, enjoy the same things, do the same things...or theyll have no friends. Ive seen guys reject a girl because she didnt have a big chest, so I wonder why a girl would be so insecure about her body? Ive seen girls who are tiny, reject a guy because hes not in the best shape, so I wonder why guys would be insecure about his shape? We also live in a society where there are too many gender rules. I personally dont believe in them, I love to cook and clean. And I know girls who can fix a car better than I can.

It just seems we all expect the best of the best. Perfection. We seem to forget that we all have imperfections, flaws, baggage, we all make mistakes. Many people just like to point the finger and play the blame game, rather than compromise, and in this world, there is no room for hatred and all this jargon that goes on. Theyd rather yell, than sit and talk eye to eye, peacefully. They cant be honest. I know several couples who lasted years, only to break up to find out that the other one was cheating the whole time. Ive gone on dates with girls who seemed amazing, but secretly had boyfriends.

To say that a guy is boring because he doesnt party and go out a lot, is wrong. To say that a girl is dumb because she wants to wait to have sex, is wrong. To say a guy is pathetic because hes a computer geek, is wrong. To say a girl is crazy because she takes STD prevention seriously, is wrong. I would gladly get tested for a girlfriend, and I would gladly wait for sex, for a girlfriend.

Like many of you, I too get frustrated with the dating scene. Im a guy who truelly seeks passion, loyalty, love, affection, commitment. But it seems the girls I meet dont, or at least just dont know what they are doing. Or maybe I get turned down because I dont look like Brad Pitt, because I dont have a six pack, because Im not rich, because Im not a partier. Im sure many of us have been thru this. Yes, it hurts. When we see people who are total fakers and jerks, get all the guys and girls...it makes us wonder, is being nice really worth it? Do nice guys and girls REALLY finish last? Sometimes we ponder giving up on finding love, and ask ourselves if we should just 'play the field'. But, we know deep inside we could never use or play someone, ever. We just arent that mean or cruel. So we dont do it.

Its perfectly okay to have standards, but to have a list of 30 things you need in someone is silly. You cant expect relationships to be a ball of fun everyday. You cant expect to never argue, to never be bored, to never come across a hotter guy or girl. You know very well if you are capable of long-term relationships, so if deep inside you know you arent capable of it, dont go on dating sites posting ads for a real relationship...knowing you're just gonna break someone's heart the moment you get bored or meet a hotter guy or girl. I totally understand if you're a 6 foot tall girl who wants a guy no shorter, or if you're a guy who has been through the party scene and cant stand it anymore, so you dont want a girl who has a drunk wild side. I dont want someone like that either, I dont want drama in my life. I understand if you're a girl who doesnt want some tough guy who picks fights with everyone and enjoys watching people beat each other up, whether it be a street fight or for a sport. I dont want someone like that either, I dont want people who are sick in the head and enjoy that rubbish, in my life.

Dont judge, dont hate, dont lie, dont disrespect. I dont care if a girl works at Hooters, it doesnt make her a slut. If a guy works at an ABC store, it doesnt make him an alcoholic. Just because someone has a Masters degree, it doesnt make them smart (street smart). Many people think that massage therapists are wackos...well, Im not a wacko. So enough with the stereotypes! Many people think like this because of their 'friends', who introduced them to all these stereotypes and social rules...so are those friends really worth it? Not to me.

This may be a little long, lol. Basically, I hope people will re-think what theyre doing. I know how many of you feel, many people have been searching for years and still single and meeting jerks (how can it be so hard, right?). I too want a girlfriend, someone special, sweet, affectionate, playful as a puppy, kind, romantic, loyal. But, after seeing whats out there, I too, am scared to try anymore.

Unless you major in law, med, or computers...there really is no point to it.

Computers: These hackers who, well, hack...most of them never went to college, they just play with computers all day and theyre SMARTER than the people who work for the government with Masters! The government guys make anti-hacking software, then the hackers always find ways to get through it! So....do you really need college for computers either??

Or law, all you need is common sense to be a lawyer, and most lawyers dont have common sense. The law these days is a joke, a 17 year old goes to jail for getting blown off by a 15 year old??? Innocent people go to jail all the time, innocent people get executed. Lawyers only defend you because you're paying them too. If the other guy paid your lawyer double to go against you, he'd do it! And bankruptcy lawyers...do I even need to explain? If you wanna file for bankruptcy, you have no money! So why do they charge you $2000 to file?! And now, the case of Casey Anthony being charged with murdering her daughter...yet they havent even found a body! How do you charge someone with murder when you havent even found a dead body?! The law is such a joke! I think, if you go to jail and years later you are found to be innocent, the government should pay you a million per year you were in jail AND fire the prosecutor, instead of saying "sorry man, you're free to go".

Business, do you really need a Masters to know how to manage a business, when there are people who barely graduated high school and own their own business? Finance...do you really need a Bachelors to know how to manage money?! I think...people should just get associates degrees.

So many people are going to graduate college, forget everything they learned, and decide to change their career paths. So many people opt to go to graduate school, get their masters, PhD....for what? When you graduate, you're gonna have so much money in college debt to payoff, and unless you majored in law, med, or computers, u probably wont make anywhere near enough to pay it off.

If you go to Europe, half the kids there dont go to college (63% to be exact), yet they have way more fun than we do and live much more comfortably than we do. The majority of these jobs, all you need is a month of on-the-job training, and you're set. These hispanics who live around our area and cant even speak English, go and cut someones lawn and make 30 dollars for the 45 minutes it takes him to cut it. Meanwhile, you're making 25 an hour to sit at a computer wearing a suit and tie for 40-60 hours a week. I get to wear shorts and a sleeveless shirt (personal trainer and massage therapist). I also dont have to kiss a$$ and suck up to my boss. I also dont work 50-70 hours a week and claim "omg i love my job!" and then party on friday nights because "i need to let loose"....oh you poor thing.

Ive never met people with such little street-smarts and issues with being bitter, than office job people. These people seem to think in the ****ty economy we live in, that its a BAD thing to live at home! Look, if you refuse free rent from your parents, you're a moron. I was talking to a buddy of mine about girls, and he was talking about all these slutty girls he knows and he was saying "they are good girls though, very well educated, some with PhDs and Masters...", and I said "if they were so smart, they wouldnt be sluts". In the office job world, everyone kisses ass and sucks up to their boss, then talks so much **** behind closed doors.

Companies want you to think they wont hire you unless you go to college and study a bunch of courses you'll never need. Sara graduated with a 99%, and Joe the Plumber graduated with a 72%, and they both got the same degree, whats the difference? No employer is ever going to ask for your grades, and they also wont ever call your college to make sure you graduated. I cant count how many times I told an employer during an interview that i have a BA, and they never asked to see it, and STILL offered me the job. Ive seen ads for jobs that a monkey could do, and the company says "must have a BA in...", and im like "why?!...a monkey could do that!". They think that by going to college, you become a better all around person...when in reality, you become an alcoholic and party slut or party jerk. My cousin is married to a girl with a Doctorate, and shes had 6 reckless driving tickets in the past 7 years, and all she talks about is how her and her lawyer friends get together and get smashed.....wow, smart people.

The office job field is its own little world. You gotta dress a certain way to your interview, act a certain way, you cant do this, cant do that, you gotta suck up to your boss, you work monday thru friday and 8-4 or 9-5, and by the time you get home you're so stressed you dont wanna do anything. 2 days ago I got off work and drove down to Baltimore for the afternoon.

You the employees are much more superior than your bosses. There's 2-3 bosses, and 4000 employees. So who do you think would win in an argument? If you want a pay raise and you're sick of kissing ass, simply STOP WORKING and go on strike til you're CEO decides to give you a pay raise. Why is it that airline pilots, lawyers, doctors all go on strike to get higher pay raises (yet they make ENOUGH), yet the people who make **** money, never go on strike??? Continue kissing ass, hating your job, and not standing up for yourself and i promise you, you'll suffer for life. EVERYWHERE i go, 80% of people HATE their jobs and job life. Thats sad...

Supervisors, bosses, executives, managers, etc...are full of crap. I used to have a job where I worked at 7am, and one time I had to work at 4am. My boss complained that I wasnt doing much and being too quiet and lazy......at 4am. Hmm, I wonder why someone would seem lazy at 4am?! I mean, were these bosses born yesterday? ITS 4AM!! They pay you crap money, and expect you to work your ass off, thats ridiculous. I used to work for UPS back in the day as an unloader making $8.50, and the supervisor pulled me over to the side once and was like "you need to be here exactly at 6, you need to do this, do that, bla bla bla" as though I was some slave. I told him "dude, i make $8.50 an hour, thats enough for me to just COME to work. And who cares if im a minute late, get over it." ....Yes, i got fired. But they dont fire you for being stupid, they fire you because they are scared. They see I stand up for myself unlike everyone else, and they think "Oh gosh this guy is good, he has leadership qualities, he may take my job someday, so i should fire him before he gets noticed". Its true, people! If you prove to be smarter than your boss, you'll be fired.

Look what happened when the government bailed out all these companies, the executives gave themselves huge bonuses and parties, and you the employees got nothing. Those exec's with their Doctorates and Masters, wow they sure are SMART, right?

You wanna know why so many of you work too much? Because you're materialistic. You have to have the top of the line car, the best apartment, you party constantly, you gotta have the best HDTV. I drive a car that costs me under 20K, and i have a standard TV, and i dont spend $8 for a small drink at a bar and party constantly. I know a girl who pays $350 a month for rent in a house with 4 people...and shes HAPPY.

Book smarts will only take you so far. Street smarts is what you need to survive life. And common sense. Most people in college, have ZERO of those ive learned. If your job is stressful, if you hate it, if you come home and just want to "let loose" or relax all night and not go anywhere, you're doing something wrong. Your job isnt supposed to be your life. And the more education you have, the more your job WILL be your life. And dont forget, a Masters is great and all, but all these employers are "at-will employers"...so if you go to a party one night and do something stupid, that Masters wont help you keep your job.

A relative of mine has a Masters in Business, and got a great job with Booz Allen, and 6 years later he lost it and now he works at a grocery store stocking aisles. Another cousin of mine majored in psychology, and is getting his masters in education and hes a school teacher making 40K, with loads of college debt. I have another relative who didnt even graduate high school, who now owns his own landscaping business and makes a ton of money...more than my relatives who have degrees.

All a degree says is, you went to college and took courses you'll never need, and spent the money which ull now need to pay back...and ur job doesnt pay enough to let you pay it off comfortably. (Especially if you go to GW and pay 65K a year). Go look up online, the best doctors and lawyers in this country, they didnt go to Harvard, Yale, or Princeton. When you start a job, regardless of what it is, you go through at least a few weeks of on-the-job training! So whats the point of the college degree??

Rather than study something you dont care about, do what you love. You could go to school for under a year and become a mechanic, a personal trainer, massage therapist, HVAC Technician, etc...and they pay GREAT. People gotta start standing up for themselves, and stop kissing a$$. The gym I work at, we rarely see the owner, but everytime he comes in, everyone who works there jumps up and kisses his a$$, and I...just keep doing what Im doing and say "oh hey Jim whats up?". Whereas everyone else goes "Hi Sir, how are you? Can I get you some coffee?". WOW, seriously people, these companies wont stop using you until you all stand up for yourself. Companies dont lay off workers because theyre losing money, they lay off workers because the CEO is making 2 million instead of 20 million, and that makes him sad.

If theres anything ive learned in my years of existence on this earth, its that people get dumber by the day, and people have no idea what they are doing anymore. And you cant argue that, just wake up every morning and watch the news....EVERYDAY, someones been stabbed, shot. EVERYDAY theres at least 10 accidents because people dont know how to drive and are too impatient. EVERYDAY, roads are packed no matter where you go, even on weekends, because people dont know the meaning of "stay home and save your money", instead they all gotta go out and spend. EVERY month theres a school shooting because people dont know how to treat one another. I mean come on people, GROW UP! Life isnt about money and college.

And lastly, another thing ive learned is...the more friends you have, the worse off you are. The more friends you have, the more chances you have of getting involved in trouble and getting peer pressured into things you dont wanna do. People with loads of friends cant think for themselves, they always gotta do what their "friends" want. And when people care too much about fun fun fun, they forget their values, beliefs, morals, whats right and wrong. So yeah, that PhD can get you a nice job, but hanging out with the wrong crowd will get you fired and working a crap job. I know TONS of people who've been a victim of it.

But as usual, dont listen to the people who make sense, who tell it like it is, who tell the truth. Just be in denial and not be able to handle the truth and listen to your 'friends' who in 15 years from now, wont even remember your name. Or the moment you die doing something stupid, or get in deep trouble, they dont know you anymore.

These "sports", if you want to call them that, need to be banned.

They are nothing but pure violence, and instructors try to brainwash you into thinking otherwise. Now I have nothing against cardio kickboxing, which I teach at the gym I work at, (im a certified personal trainer along with licensed massage therapist) but that has nothing to do with hitting a person. Instructors try to say its about scoring points, when its really not. These instructors will say anything to make it seem safe. They start you off wearing protection, going slow, then after awhile you take the gear off, hit harder, and feel like its no big deal because its about "scoring points". But you need to ask yourself, "whats the point of me kicking him in the head?" etc. Even I enjoy going to the gym and hitting bags and dummies for fitness, but Ive said several times to these people, 'no way in hell am i gonna hit a human being, im not a human co.ckfighter".

These instructors try to use words like focus, balance, concentration, coordination, discipline, self-control (stuff you can learn in ANY sport, lol) to make it seem like a good sport. They say its not about fighting, even though....ummm, its called "fighting" lol. And the people who do it are called "fighters", and UFC stands for Ultimate FIGHTING Championship. I bet you never thought about that, did you? No, cuz people these days dont really think "outside the box".

What do swimmers do? They swim. Runners? They run. Cyclists? They bicycle. Shooters? They shoot. What do plumbers do? They plumb. What does a runningback do? He runs. So, what do "fighters" do? They FIGHT. I thought fighting was assault, isnt assault illegal?

When a soccer player scores a goal, why does he run all over the field in excitment? Because hes excited at his focus, balance, coordination? No, hes excited he scored a goal. So why do "fighters" parade around the cage after knocking out someone? Because their excited to have great focus, balance, coordination, etc? No. Theyre excited they just whooped someones arse. Is that so hard for people to realize? In any other sport, if someone is injured, everyone kneels and prays together, like when Anquan Boldin got knocked out in the NFL game weeks ago. In MMA, someone is always on the ground injured after a fight, and the whole crowd is cheering. Wow, thats disgusting.

Have you ever watched a UFC "fight"? UWC "fight?" Pride "fight"? What are they doing? FIGHTING. Why do they stare each other down beforehand? Because "dude, i got better concentration than you!"....no, they stare each other down because they wanna whoop the other guys' arse.

Have you ever looked up in a dictionary what "boxing", "kickboxing", and "martial arts" means? Boxing means "FIGHTING with the fists", kickboxing means "a martial art and sport of attack and defense", and martial arts means "art of war". Hmmm, art of war? Why is "art of war" being taught to people who arent in war, or to 5 year olds??? And why is it that everytime you tell THIS to people in mma and all those sports, they get so mean and defensive, i thought MMA taught RESPECT??

Over and over again, people in these sports talk about how safe it is, how its MUCH safer than gymnastics, soccer, hockey, etc. Again, what do hockey players do? Play hockey. What do soccer players do? Play soccer. What do fighters do? FIGHT. Compare the amount of blood spilt in MMA, to soccer. Compare the amount of people passed out in MMA, to gymnastics. NOW which is worse? If someone dies in soccer, its not as a result of SOCCER. There have been deaths in football, but because the guy got a heart attack or something. In MMA, the deaths theyve had, were a result of the FIGHT. In soccer if a guy ends up on a stretcher, its not because someone else purposely (intentionally) broke his foot...but in MMA, it IS because someone intentionally broke his foot. And, why on earth do they allow you to CHOKE people???

If soccer, football, hockey, etc has more injuries, perhaps its because soccer/football/hockey players compete on a WEEKLY basis. Whereas in MMA and all those violent sports, they compete every month or every few months.

So MMA teaches balance, focus, concentration, coordination, body conditioning? So does every other sport. So how come soccer players can play for 2 hours and not get worn out? But in MMA, Kimbo Slice gets knocked out in 14 seconds by a no-name guy with pink hair. Tim Sylvia gets choked out within a minute or two by Fedor. And some people get knocked out in a matter of seconds. Yeah, sounds to me like they have incredible body conditioning. How come Brock Lesnar went out for football and couldnt even make the practice squad for the Vikings? The best athletes in the world are the ones who do Triathlons and Tour De France. YOU try riding a bike for 6 hours up and down mountains going as fast as they to.

MMA isnt about fighting? So why did Chuck Lidell say in an NBC interview, "we wouldnt be doing this stuff if we didnt have issues". Why did Matt Serra say "we had a drink and went our seperate ways, i dont fight friends". But, MMA isnt about fighting, right? Cant someone compete their focus, balance, concentration, coordination with a friend? Of course! Why did Fedor say "every man i fight, i view him as someone trying to send me back to my days of poverty, so this man must be eliminated"...hmm, but MMA isnt about fighting, right? If MMA is about respect, self-control, discipline....then uhh, why are they fighting? Have any of you ever thought about THAT before??

Ive seen a few MMA shows, like Fight Science, Combat Sports on Comcast...and the whole show was basically showing every way to hurt a person, how to hit them hard enough it damages their body, or gives them a concussion.....wow, thats sickening. Not to mention most people in these sports that I know, I ask them why they do it, and they say its because they love fighting, kicking people's arsees, hurting people legally. These are the same people who want the "Gladiator" days of Ancient Rome to come back, where people KILLED each other. Thats so gross.

Who watches UFC and all these pointless sports? MOST are young people, Rednecks, College kids, Drunks, party goers, "Bad arsees", people in the military who love fighting, troublemakers. If MMA was such a safe, good sport...why is it banned in many states? Why isnt it mainstream? Why isnt MMA in the olympics? Boxing and tae kwon do are, but they are on the verge of being taken out of the olympics. EliteXC was on CBS twice, and now its done. Why?

Many times, MMA people try to say, "its about self defense. If someone came in your home and tried to attack your mother, would u just sit there?"....uhh, what on EARTH does some criminal intruding in my house and attacking my mother, have to do with me getting in a cage with some random guy who did NOTHING to me? I have my own martial art, its called "ball kicking". If a guy attacks you, u kick him in the nuts and you win, but that according to MMA guys and "tough guys" is called "being a *****"...because yes, if some guy has a knife or gun to you, you DONT want to be a *****, you want to be TOUGH, right? No. The last thing on your mind is "i dont wanna be a ***** about this".

Funny how the rate of people being attacked, assaulted, sexually assaulted, and raped is on the RISE, and in the same time, MMA people try to say their sport is fast-growing. So either these mma people are learning NOTHING about how to defend themselves in the real world, or they are taking their knowledge to the streets and beating people up for fun. MMA guys try to say fighting is in our nature.....umm, no its not. Ive been on this earth for a long time and ive NEVER got into a fight. Why do people enjoy mma so much? Because they enjoy violent entertainment. And a recent study that I saw on a fitness page said that most martial arts, are worthless on the streets. So if its worthless on the streets, why learn it? If you want to learn self defense, you take classes that are called "Self Defense Classes"...they're usually one day classes. They say more and more girls are taking mma, yet the rate of women being abused/assaulted and raped, is on the rise.

How exactly does kicking someone in the head, punching someone, kneeing them in the liver, choking them out, a SAFE thing, what is the POINT of it? How does that teach focus, balance, concentration, etc. Why is it that when a guy is knocked down and defenseless, the attacker STILL goes at him? Why is it that whenever I ask mma guys that question, they can never give me a straight answer.

Nobody watches UFC for any other reason besides, they wanna watch someone get the crap beat out of them. People who say otherwise, get a life, you're only lying to yourself, thats like a college kid saying "i wanna go to Amsterdam to see the beautiful scenery." NO, u wanna go to Amsterdam to do drugs and get laid.

Not to mention, almost every medical association alive, speaks AGAINST the sport. Almost every doctor, speaks AGAINST the sport. I wonder why. I have 6 doctors in my family, and not to mention the few doctors Ive had the past few years for my yearly physical. I asked them all what their opinion of it is, and all but one said the same thing; that its simply not safe for the body, the long term effects are horrible. The one who said "i love it". is my 44 year old cousin who gets off work and gets drunk and parties all night in adams morgan. Yes, his opinion sure means a lot to me.

If you're not smart enough to watch a fight and say, "damn, thats violent and cruel, why do people do that?" then you've got some issues. People say martial arts is just that....an art. If this doesnt get through to you, well you have issues: Im a personal trainer, I studied exercise science at a top college in Canada, along with being a licensed massage therapist so I know a lot about stuff like reflexology. Let me say, people these days are not capable of being disciplined. Mental toughness? For what? Whats being "mentally tough" gonna do for your life? Coordination? Go play football! Concentration? Go play the hand slap game. Balance? Stand on one foot for a minute. Strategies? Go play ANY sport. Studies have shown that even video games can improve people's mentality and coordination, focus, etc. (So can fish oil).

So tell me how this "discipline, mental toughness, coordination, balance"...is useful in your life? Dont vote republican simply because your republican, and same goes with Dems. Look at their "on the issues" on their website, and see for yourself their views.

I worked for the John McCain campaign as a campaign director for a little over a year, and the obvious choice for the Presidency is simple.....Barack Obama. This is why Obama should win...

-McCain supporters...I am so tired of people saying Obama is a terrorist and has ties to terrorists, and hating him for his color. If Obama was a terrorist, he wouldnt be a senator, he'd never pass their background investigations! If Bill Ayers was a terrorist, why isnt he in jail?! Why is he now a professor at a college??? -There is no Bradley Effect. Bradley ran for governor of California and lost in 1980. Who won the Presidency in 1980? Ronald Reagan. Where was Reagan from? California. Plus, Bradley wasnt winning in ALL the polls, just SOME. Thirdly, Bradley won the vote on election day, but it wasnt until all the absentee ballots came in, when he lost. So there is no "bradley effect". Research it!

-No matter who wins this election, it really doesnt matter who the president is....it has MORE to do with who the senators and congressmen are. The Dems are poised to take a controlling lead in both the house and senate BY FAR. As of now, theres 49 Dems and 40 Republicans, and 2 independents in the house. The past 4 years have sucked, because nobody can get anything done. Its not the Dems fault, the man who SIGNS and VETO'S these bills is a REPUBLICAN. After November 4th, the Dems are poised to add 10-15 Senators and MUCH MORE representatives, meaning McCain will get ZERO done.

-Colin Powell (General, and worked under Bush) just endorsed Obama. Scott McLellan (former White House spokesman under Bush) just endorsed Obama, and so did Billy Joel and Maria Shriver, lol.

Written by myself, a guy who did Karate, Tae Kwon Do, BJJ, Grappling, Amateur Boxing, and MMA and was an instructor and now im an ACSM personal trainer. These "sports", if you want to call them that, need to be banned. They are nothing but pure violence, and instructors try to brainwash you into thinking otherwise.

These instructors try to use words like focus, balance, concentration, coordination, discipline, self-control (stuff you can learn in ANY sport, lol) to make it seem like a good sport. They say its not about fighting, even though....ummm, its called "fighting" lol. And the people who do it are called "fighters", and UFC stands for Ultimate FIGHTING Championship. I bet you never thought about that, did you?

What do swimmers do? They swim. Runners? They run. Cyclists? They bicycle. Shooters? They shoot. What do plumbers do? They plumb. What does a runningback do? He runs. So, what do "fighters" do? They FIGHT. I thought fighting was assault, isnt assault illegal?

When a soccer player scores a goal, why does he run all over the field in excitment? Because hes excited at his focus, balance, coordination? No, hes excited he scored a goal. So why do "fighters" parade around the cage after knocking out someone? Because their excited to have great focus, balance, coordination, etc? No. Theyre excited they just whooped someones ass. Is that so hard for people to realize? In any other sport, if someone is injured, everyone kneels and prays together, like when Anquan Boldin got knocked out in the NFL game weeks ago. In MMA, someone is always on the ground injured after a fight, and the whole crowd is cheering. Wow, thats disgusting.

Have you ever watched a UFC "fight"? UWC "fight?" Pride "fight"? What are they doing? FIGHTING. Why do they stare each other down beforehand? Because "dude, i got better concentration than you!"....no, they stare each other down because they wanna whoop the other guys' ass.

Have you ever looked up in a dictionary what "boxing", "kickboxing", and "martial arts" means? Boxing means "FIGHTING with the fists", kickboxing means "a martial art and sport of attack and defense", and martial arts means "art of war". Hmmm, art of war? Why is "art of war" being taught to people who arent in war, or to 5 year olds??? And why is it that everytime you tell THIS to people in mma and all those sports, they get so mean and defensive, i thought MMA taught RESPECT?? People dont get mean or defensive if you bash baseball, soccer, swimming, etc....but then again, MMA is pretty much the only sport with so much controversy surrounding it. I wonder why...

Over and over again, people in these sports talk about how safe it is, how its MUCH safer than gymnastics, soccer, hockey, etc. Again, what do hockey players do? Play hockey. What do soccer players do? Play soccer. What do fighters do? FIGHT. Compare the amount of blood spilt in MMA, to soccer. Compare the amount of people passed out in MMA, to gymnastics. NOW which is worse? If someone dies in soccer, its not as a result of SOCCER. There have been deaths in football, but because the guy got a heart attack or something. In MMA, the deaths theyve had, were a result of the FIGHT.

If soccer, football, hockey, etc has more injuries, perhaps its because soccer/football/hockey players compete on a WEEKLY basis. Whereas in MMA and all those violent sports, they compete every month or every few months.

So MMA teaches balance, focus, concentration, coordination, body conditioning? So does every other sport. So how come soccer players can play for 2 hours and not get worn out? But in MMA, Kimbo Slice gets knocked out in 14 seconds by a no-name guy with pink hair. Tim Sylvia gets choked out within a minute or two by Fedor. And some people get knocked out in a matter of seconds. Yeah, sounds to me like they have incredible body conditioning. How come Brock Lesnar went out for football and couldnt even make the practice squad for the Vikings?

MMA isnt about fighting? So why did Chuck Lidell say in an NBC interview, "we wouldnt do doing this stuff if we didnt have issues". Why did Matt Serra say "we had a drink and went our seperate ways, i dont fight friends". But, MMA isnt about fighting, right? Cant someone compete their focus, balance, concentration, coordination with a friend? Of course! Why did Fedor say "every man i fight, i view him as someone trying to send me back to my days of poverty, so this man must be eliminated"...hmm, but MMA isnt about fighting, right? If MMA is about respect, self-control, discipline....then uhh, why are they fighting? Have any of you ever thought about THAT before??

Ive seen a few MMA shows, like Fight Science, Combat Sports on Comcast...and the whole show was basically showing every way to hurt a person, how to hit them hard enough it damages their body, or gives them a concussion.....wow, thats sickening. Not to mention most people in these sports that I know, I ask them why they do it, and they say its because they love fighting, kicking people's asses, hurting people legally. These are the same people who want the "Gladiator" days of Ancient Rome to come back, where people KILLED each other. Thats so gross.

Who watches UFC and all these pointless sports? MOST are young people, Rednecks, College kids, Drunks, party goers, "Bad asses", people in the military who love fighting, troublemakers. If MMA was such a safe, good sport...why did so many states ban it at first? Some still have rules on it. Why isnt it mainstream? Why isnt MMA in the olympics? Boxing and tae kwon do are, but they are on the verge of being taken out of the olympics. EliteXC was on CBS twice, but thats on the verge of being taken out too. Why?

Many times, MMA people try to say, "its about self defense. If someone came in your home and tried to attack your mother, would u just sit there?"....uhh, what on EARTH does some criminal intruding in my house and attacking my mother, have to do with me getting in a cage with some random guy who did NOTHING to me? I have my own martial art, its called "ball kicking". If a guy attacks you, u kick him in the nuts and you win, but that according to MMA guys and "tough guys" is called "being a *****"...because yes, if some guy has a knife or gun to you, you DONT want to be a *****, you want to be TOUGH, right? No. The last thing on your mind is "i dont wanna be a ***** about this".

Funny how the rate of people being attacked, assaulted, sexually assaulted, and raped is on the RISE, and in the same time, MMA people try to say their sport is fast-growing. So either these mma people are learning NOTHING about how to defend themselves in the real world, or they are taking their knowledge to the streets and beating people up for fun. MMA guys try to say fighting is in our nature.....umm, no its not. Ive been on this earth for a long time and ive NEVER got into a fight OUTSIDE of the cage. Im sure MMA is on the rise, because people enjoy violent entertainment.

These people are simply brainwashed, and they enjoy what they do because they are able to fight legally, take their anger, frustration, stress out on people. Yes you learn confidence in MMA, because before you'll say "uhh no, i wont knee him in the liver", but NOW ull say "hell yeah i will!". So yeah, its not GOOD confidence. How exactly does kicking someone in the head, punching someone, kneeing them in the liver, choking them out, a GOOD thing? How does that teach focus, balance, concentration, etc? How is that SAFE? Why is it that when a guy is knocked down and defenseless, the attacker STILL goes at him? THAT, is what really proves that its about fighting.

Any other sport alive, teaches focus, balance, concentration, coordination...SAFELY, and its FUN too. And nobody watches UFC for any other reason besides, they wanna watch someone get the **** beat out of them. People who say otherwise, get a life, you're only lying to yourself, thats like a college kid saying "i wanna go to Amsterdam to see the beautiful scenery." NO, u wanna go to Amsterdam to do drugs and get laid.

Not to mention, almost every medical association alive, speaks AGAINST the sport. Almost every doctor, speaks AGAINST the sport. I wonder why...

I really dont need to sit here and explain bit by bit, WHY its such a bad sport, and why it really is violence and about fighting. If you're not smart enough to watch a fight and say, "damn, thats violent and cruel, why do people do that?" then you've got some issues. Its okay for 2 people to step in a ring and beat the **** out of each other, but its not okay for 2 kids in a hallway to fight? And 2 kids in a hallway are fighting for a REASON. Why did Fedor choke out Sylvia? What, did Sylvia steal his girlfriend? And, why on earth do they allow you to CHOKE people??? Plus, school fights arent as violent as MMA fights.

I mean seriously, whats so entertaining about watching 2 people beat each other up??? What are we, middle schoolers? In the world we live in, shouldnt we be teaching people NOT to fight? 7 years ago this country got attacked, yet 7 years later WE are still beating each other up. Honestly I hope it gets mainstreamed one day, because since we live in a country full of whiney parents, parents will start to whine constantly about pro fighting being on TV, THEN congress will start to act to get rid of it. Lastly, just think of the long term effects of being hit in the head, knee'ed in the liver, choked so much...theres a reason UFC and boxing doesnt talk about its old fighters who are now in their 50s and 60s...

So let me get this straight...our country wants to ban gay marriage, yet they dont want to ban 2 people beating the blood out of each other? They wont show sex, the most natural and normal thing alive on free tv, yet theyll show two people beating the blood out of each other on free tv?? Wow...
